The Petri is by no means poor for flavor, but it is definitely not a flavor atty. Things to look for in a flavor atty:
1. smaller chamber
2. direct airflow (across, under, or from the top)
3. afc
4. thick top cap (this is my own thing, it seems i get better flavor from my RDA's with thicker cap sidewalls, i think it holds the heat better than thin ones)
5. 510 drip-tip connector
The RDA's that have had the best flavor for me are as follows:
1. Magma
2. Origen v3
3. chalice
4. Quasar
5. Vertex
6. Hobo v3

I disagree... for me the petri is one of the top flavor attys, after plume veil and i own 3 of the attys from that list... but thats neither here or there.
Only downfall ove had with petri is there is no afc, so its either tight flavor mode with the stock cap or you can get a cloud cap and it becomes too airy, so you have to built a big wire and load it with lots of wick to kinda take away some of that airflow and only problem with that is the post holes are rather small....
I enjoy the atty now but it took me a while to get used to building for it imo its the most complicated of all my atties to build on but when you get it it becomes top shelf atty... one of my 3 daily drivers.

The Petri and the Aeolus are my to go to attys for flavor. the Petri especially shines with TC. the connections are so tight and sure. its my go to with SS TC, the flavor is phenomenal. the lack of AC isn't much of a concern but if you want it a title more open, investing in the dotcap will give you a slightly looser draw. For even more there is the cloud cap which doubles the airflow. in addition to being in of the nicest made pieces I've owned the dotmod has excellent customer service. if you're on the fence with it, I say go for it...

To say it's not for flavor is aggravating.....it's one of the best I own. Buy it.

It has everything mentioned here except the afc.

Only thing that can make it not a flavor atty is building it wrong: ie. Putting the coils close to the post instead of up and out by the wall above the airflow.

Agreed, it's not a slap a coil in it and watch it chuck type of rda, it's a very simple elegant piece that if used correctly will literally make you fall in love.....I just got the quad hole 1.5 and I'm still trying to decide if it was a good buy......the dual 1.5 is just perfect imho.

Totally agree!!!! Not a fan of the dual airflow. Its just too airy for me. but that gold topcap is awesome!!! Love it so much I went back to using the 510 driptip.
