Hola felllow vapers from all around the world.
Today i will be reviewing the Drag X2 that was sent to my by my friends over at Voopoo for the purposes of this review.

As per usual i will start with some visual aids so you get an idea of the characteristics and type of device i will talking about.

Unboxing and first impressions:

Exactly the same layout in the box as the Drag S2,lift the top of the box and there you find a small flat rectangular box that contains the type c charging cable, instruction manual and an extra coil.

While not my first choice in color (I always prefer black) the Colorful Silver i got looked pretty cool.
Nice stitches the leather and the padding on the side has a shiny rainbow quality to it depending on how its exposed to the light.

Holding both the X2 and S2 at the same time they do feel the same, the X2 is just a bit taller but not by much.
The S2 is 122mm and the X2 is 129.88mm so little difference, same goes for the weight once you have the battery in the X2 (18650) weight is about the same.

The pod is done in a C frame and the Alloy Zinc is durable and solid, nothing flimsy about this devie.
Leather is nice and plush but with enough firmness that doesn't make it feel too soft, depending on the color of choice the stitching and the design on the leather will be different.
Battery cover is well made, little to no give, yes if you push it up or done it will move a little tiny bit but do not worry it is firmly into place.
There is no rattle and the magnets do a good job of keeping the cover in place.

Here is a side by side pic of the S2 (left) and the X2 (right):

Vaping time:

Now with this new and improved kit we also get new and improved coils, the PnP X which come in 4 different types:

PnP X 0.6Ω(RDL&MTL, 18-32W)
PnP X 0.3Ω(RDL&MTL, 32-40W)
PnP X 0.2Ω(DTL, 40-60W)
PnP X 0.15Ω(DTL, 60-80W)

Menu operation quite simple but efficient:

Lock/Unlock: Press the Fire and "+" buttons together.
Menu: Press the "+" and "-" buttons together then press "+" or "-"
3 different modes:
Smart(yellow UI): detects the coil and adjusts the wattage automatically
RBA(blue UI):Not limited in anyway, just whatever wattage you want
ECO:this mode can give you about 10% more battery life

Since i did the review for the S2 before this one i used the same cartridges with the same coils.

I used both the PnP X 0.2Ω(DTL, 40-60W) and the PnP X 0.6Ω(RDL&MTL, 18-32W).
The 0.2 in the DL cartridge and the 0.6 in the MTL/RDL cartridge, these had my usual e-liquid combo which is Shiva aroma with a 70/30 proportion and 6mg of nic.

Instant response time from the fire button and a wave of flavor with each hit, these PnP X coils are better than the previous versions.
Some users have commented on the older PnP coils and said they were prone to leaking and had a short life,me personally never experienced any leaking only minor condensation.

Coil life is longer with these PnP X coils and very minor condensation after some use,and by some use i mean like 5 full tanks (25mls of e-liquid).
And this was very minor, take out cartridge and use a paper towel,no mess and no fuss.

Even thou the Drag X2 is oriented towards a DTL use there is no reason you can't use the MTL cartridge and use this just as a pure MTL vaping device.

The cartridges will be sold separately so if you prefer to use this pod instead of the S2 you can perfectly meet all your MTL needs.

The X2 and the S2 are basically the same device but with only 2 major differences:

-S2 wattage goes up to 60 watts but the X2 goes up to 80 watts
-X2 has an integrated battery but the X2 uses an 18650 battery

As per usual i always recommend that if you use batteries that you buy yourself an external charger, with 2 batteries you got enough to vape without pause.
Remove one battery and put it to charge and then use the other, only in case of need you could charge thru the pod mod but it is not recommended.

As these devices are very similar the pros and cons will be exactly the same, thought it long and hard but in the end the pro and con device will remain the same.

PROS:

-The new PnP X coils are an improvement over the already excellent Pnp coils
-Dual purpose kit for either DL or MTL
-2 coils included in the kit, that is always a pro
-Build quality and design is good, solid and well finished

CONS:

-Can't remove the drip tip from the DL cartridge
-Airflow ring has no stop,so once in a while you have to check to see where the position of the airflow ring is.
(Not a big con but i would have preferred to have some sort of stop at the end)

Would i recommend this device:

If you're looking for pod device with power, good quality and coils that deliver a good vape then most definitely, the pricing of either the X2 or S2 is reasonable.
Only questions you have to ask yourself are two:

-Do you need those extra 20 watts of power that the X2 gives you or 60 watts is more than enough for you?
-Do you prefer an integrated 2500 mAh battery or an 18650?

Depending on your answers you will choose either the X2 or the S2,having tested and used both you can't go wrong with whatever choice you make.

Well that is it for today folks.
Thanks to my friends at Voopoo for sending me this product so i could review it and thanks to everyone who took the time to read this review.
