Efest 18650s surprised me.

I've read (and watched) mixed reviews on Efest batteries and I'd never buy them when great OEM batteries are available as cheap as they are, but this pair surprised me. I got them in that bin full of stuff from the kid on Craigslist and never touched them. A couple days ago I figured what the heck, they're in good condition, I'll throw them in the Opus and see what I have.

They were balanced right at 3 volts so, so far so good. Charged up the pair and they performed and lasted about as well as a good pair of VTC5As. Of course they're rewraps, so I don't know what they actually are, but they're good. Like REALLY good. I reset the puff counter in my Aegis Legend so I can see a number at 90 watts, which is where I had it before too.

I got 131 hits from these batteries in my Aegis Legend and Kylin V2 at .20 and 90 watts. They were at 3.1 volts at that point. Not too bad actually. I still won't be buying Efest batteries, but I'm happy to have gotten these for next to nothing in that bin from Craigslist.

Odd, I can't seem to find those batteries. I have older red/silver efest's that use VTC3 and 4 inside, but the rest of the newer are purple. Hmm..

Unless your color balance is way off...are they red or purple?

No, they're purple. And actually balanced too. The guy I got all that stuff from seemed pretty knowledgeable.

Right on. Ya, Mooch says that while not rated as claimed, they are pretty much comparable to a 30Q, which I like quite a bit.
