Hey guys, anyone notice that this charger gets kinda warm even at 0.5A charge current? Specifically the first slot gets warmer than others. I'm charging 3 Samsung 25Rs right now, and slot one is warmer than the rest. Anyone else?

Mine hasn't given me any troubles.
Maybe I've been lucky, I can't say.
I've ran from 1 through 6 batteries through it checking temps by hand/feel and not noticed any differences throughout the entire charge.
Granted, I did not use any type of thermometer so maybe checking by touch isn't the best technical way.
Hope it doesn't cause you any troubles.

All of my batteries get warm on this charger, it's weird. Not super hot by any means, but definitely warm. I wonder what that could be..... Do your batteries stay room temperature when charging?

They stay room temp except once when I put 4 batteries in that just came out of 2 different mods that I was excessively chain vaping on.
So the batteries were actually warm when I put them in and 3 hours later when they were done they "seemed" to be about the same temp.
At least by touch.
I didn't find that concerning.

That's odd..... Well thanks for chiming in. I wonder why. My batteries never get warm when I run them in my RX200S, they stay cool. But charging get warm. I inspect them thoroughly after every charge, no nicks, no scrapes, and no tears at all! Weird.

I find these to be very bad but not for the reasons here. The meter is not real. It always goes exactly to 4.20V. That is nearly impossible. It is just a preprogrammed "full" status indicator then. It does not tell you exactly what it charged it to. It also does not tell you if it is discharging while they are sitting there. I think they did this because first they were overcharging then they revised it to undercharge. Pretty shady. 2 Amps is very nice though but watch out. Most batteries should not be charged at 2 Amps. I would stick with Xtar or Pila.

I charge over 50 different batteries in this.
I have tested afterwards with a multimeter as well as in my Xtar VC4 and Nitecore D4, each time I get the same result.
I always verify each battery with a multimeter after every charge.
They show full charge at 4.2V.
Not saying there aren't any out there that are inaccurate, but mine seems to be right on the money.
Each and every time.
Maybe it's my ODC that requires me to do such actions, but it keeps me happy and my logs full.

Go with Xtar next time. I've had problems with Nitecore and Efest. Xtar VP4 is a very nice charger.

I do like my XTAR but it has two things on my dislike list that my Efest LUC and Nitecore do not.
1. Much more difficult to remove the batteries unless you have fingernails to pry across the top.
2. Doesn't shut off once batteries are removed.
The Efest has #2 issue as well.
The Nitecore hasn't given me any troubles.
I have two and they've both been great.
All 4 of my chargers actually work well.
I just have those 2 issues.

For anyone looking for a 4 or 6 bay charger, all three of these actually work well and will accomplish the task safely and efficiently.
