eGrip RBA Base coil

Hello all,

I had the eGrip for a while but didnt use it as much anymore. Untill i read about the RBA base. I immediatly orderd it and when I got it immediatly installed it. WOW what a diffrence in taste and all..

But after a few days i saw my liquid was turning darker.
So I pulled out the RBA base to check it and I saw the wick was all black and on the coil there formed some kind of coal. It was very thick and hard. I only use the eGrip on the smallest wattage (8 watt if im not wrong)

I cleaned everything and installed a new prebuild coil. After 1 day I checked again and there is already building some coal again on the coil.

Is this normal? I was searching on google but find many people having problems with leakage but I dont have that problem. I read some people changing the wick every few days but after a 5 weeks still didnt have to change the coil. With me I think I have to change the coil after 2 days orso if it keeps going like this.

Before this I only used the eGrip with prebuild coils so i'm really new to this kind of things and i'm not really smart with building my own coils. This RBA base seemed easy but I guess im still doing something wrong.

Can someone tell me what im doing wrong?

THANKS

No, you are not doing anything wrong. You are actually doing great if you are not getting any leakage.
That carbon buildup is normal if you are using a highly sweetened commercial juice.
If you have the rba base 510 adapter you can dry burn the carbon off and rewick. Otherwise you will need to plan on rebuilding the coil every few days with that juice.
