Here's a nice and simple cheap tank that Eleaf just released. It reminds me of the simplicity of the Aspire K1 but bigger, with airflow controller and priced very competitively between $9-12. Pyrex glass so you can vape all your juices without chemical interference, not have to worry about tank cracking and it holds 2.5 ml of juice. It will require GS AIR heads so you can't use the other coils from Eleaf that work with the popular BDC slim eGo tanks or i Just. At least I don't think you can based on the updated threading. Anyhow, they are still cheap. You can get the coils for $10 for a pack of 5. Coil is 1.5 ohms designed to be powered between 8-20 watts for an ideal vape. Looks like a nice fit with the i Stick but will work on other devices with the required power output.

I like the fact that you can get a Glassomizer so cheap and not have to settle for polycarbonate. The Drip tip can be swapped out as well. It has an airy draw for people who like that. I'm not a fan of a tight draw so I like that feature. I always strive to do thorough research, so I should note that I checked some other sites and they oddly list the tank as 1.5ml but Eleaf's site lists it as 2.5 ml. Just wanted to let everyone know in advance. For the low price it's a good option for those on a tight budget and can't spring for the Subtank. Also, no need to worry about sub ohm if that's not your thing. It just comes with 1.5 ohm atomizer.

Diameter is 16.5 mm and it's 510 threaded.

GS Air Head:Equipped with two parallel 3ohm coils which will bring a high degree of stability and safety compared to single 1.5ohm coil. This structure ensures no leakage and burning taste under high wattage, also the cloud production while vaping.

The MELO looks like it's going to be an excellent tank. There has been a review already where it was stated that it vapes as good if not better than the Atlantis. It's going to be very affordable as well only $20. The MELO is .5 sub ohm so it's important to take that into consideration to see if that is what your mom will like and if she has the proper mod to power it. This tank is simple, 1.5 ohm and will work with any mod that can power at minimum 8 watts. If she has the i stick it will work without issue. The MELO you will need the NEW i Sticks that sub ohm to power the coil and get a good vape from it.

1.5 ohm 8-20w ? that looks like a Joyetech egrip coil to me.
Except those run $15 for five.

Work good when new, but clog after a few tanks and are a bitch to rebuild.

No they are NOT the same. Similar but not the same. GS Air coils $9.50 and e Grip CS $17.50
I'm not a personal fan of the eGrip mod and have heard the coils are not very good, the flavor begins to mute quickly and they don't last a long time. I haven't tried the GS Air yet, hope they perform well, don't leak, wick properly and not burn out quickly. If they work well then I could see the GS Air being a good purchase. Both the tank and coils are relatively cheap.

I have read good things about the GS AIR so that's certainly a good sign. It's a very good option for people who don't want to rebuild. Just load your juice, screw on the atomizer and you're good to go. I know nothing about the coils, so hopefully someone will chime in and share some information as to how well they perform.

Caveat: No point in messing with the center screw for airflow, nothing changes, so you might as well leave it in place. People report getting a nice airy draw and good flavor, better than the Aerotank. I get good flavor from my Aerotank V2 so that's a positive indication of what to expect.

THE GS AIR now only $9 at www.evape.us. I don't know if they have the coils so you'll have to check. If not, pick up coils at www.sweet-vapes.com for $10 both are very good and trusted vendors. I buy from them all the time and everything is genuine, check it out. Eleaf is such a great company they have yet to disappoint me. Every product I try of theirs always surpasses my expectations.

Well I'm glad you are happy with yours Amanda. I personally don't care for this mod. I didn't like the aesthetics of it and having an enclosed tank is a big mistake in my opinion. If juice was to leak into the board and other electrical components the entire device would need to be replaced. That's $70 down the drain right away. I also am not fond of having to unscrew the base with a coin each time to change out atomizer heads and being limited to the proprietary 1.5 ohm coil. Many people are not going to want to rebuild heads and would simply want to quickly change out stock coils with a wider resistance variance. In addition, not having the option to use your own assortment of tanks is another con of this device. Coils are pricey 5 for $17 and cleaning the juice reservoir looks to be a major hassle since everything is enclosed in the shell. Lastly, 1500 mAh battery is quite small compared to all the other option available on the market, most starting with 2200 milliamp and upward. This is definitely not the APV for me but I'm sure some will find it useful for their vaping needs. Enjoy your eGrip:)

I'm not sure I understand your question. You mean between the eGrip and the the GS AIR? GS AIR is an external glassomizer the eGRIP tank is built into the mod, you cannot remove it, swap onto different mods, clean it as easily and have to unscrew the base with a coin just to change the heads. The coils are nearly double the price for the GS AIR. The Eleaf GS AIR is marketed as a quality budget tank between $9-13 also uses 1.5 ohm atomizer but saves you money when you need to replace coils. You fill your tank, quickly change out the coil and put it on any 510 threaded device you wish. Scroll up I put a link where you can get it for only $9. People have reported getting a good vape from it. Just be sure your mod can power at least 8 watts and you'll be good to go.

NO, You were saying the CS and the GS coils were not the same, I was wondering what the difference is. You seem to be all knowing about the CS and GS, the GS air and the Egrip.
Do you have any of the items, or are you just making up things? You obviously have not used the egrip. I can tell by your "review" , as none of what you said is relevant to the Egrip

I never claimed to own the eGrip as I mentioned that I didn't care for it. I researched it when it came out and it did not meet my needs. I didn't mention the eGrip in my introduction because this thread is not about the eGrip but about the GS AIR. The only reason the eGrip was mentioned was because another poster had speculated that the coils were the same, which they are not. I read information on the net about both coils and they are not constructed exactly the same but simply bare a resemblance to one another. What's not relevant about the eGrip? The tank is enclosed, it uses it's own heads, and you have to unscrew from the bottom of the mod to change your coil. Those are all facts plain and simple.

This was mentioned on several sites.
"eGrip CS head is different with other Joyetech atomizer heads, as it has an entirely different construction, we call it “eGrip CS Head" One site lists GS AIR $9.50 and eGRIP $17.50 they would be priced the same if they were the "exact" same. They would also state that both coils are interchangeable with the other, which they have not. They do appear to have some similarities but not exactly identical to one another as illustrated below.

Anyhow, I don't want this thread to steer of course. Let's stay on topic this is about the GS AIR tank.

What is the difference all knowing eleaf master.also, no one uses those crap coils in the Egrip, they either use aspire BVC or the rebuildable.

Now you're just being rude, immature and impractical. I should have known better than to respond but did so out of consideration, even though you lack manners. I already displayed the difference since you didn't bother to take the time to research. The point was not having to go through the hassle of rebuilding but having the convenience for most people to use quality stock heads. Many have reported not being pleased with the stock coils and feel that they are over priced and do not have the time or desire to rebuild. That was the point. Good luck to you.

Now back on topic GS AIR TANK. Thanks.

On the subject of the GS Air. I find it a little odd that a tank that was supposed to be about air - so much so that they used it in the name - has air control that doesn't work. And they went ahead and released it anyway.

What do you mean "doesn't work"? I do not own one, just curious.

Was thinking of buying one for my wife and or myself. I'd like to know any good or bad before laying out my money.

That's a good point you bring up. Apparently many are not finding an issue with that as it gets plenty of airflow without having to tinker with the screw. So technically you're still getting good airflow hence "GS AIR." Now whether everyone will fall in love with it is entirely subjective, some people are picky about every little detail while others will be perfectly happy with what they get, so long as it meets their needs. For the price, personally I think it's a great bargain. If you like an airy draw this is the tank to get. If you prefer a tight hit, simply cover an air hole.

Yes, perhaps. I think for me you can still have control by covering a hole if you prefer a tighter pull. You're still getting a nice airy draw and people seem to be very happy with it and the flavor it produces, so those are all positive things to note. I included links above for anyone who wants to get it at a good price, check it out if you're interested. You're welcome.

Surely you can. It may give great flavor for those whose sweet spot it falls within. I haven't used it so I can't say with conviction one way or the other. The whole point of air control is to avoid rather crude and inexact methods of adjusting air flow like tape, stuffing it with something or covering it with your finger. The idea of the screw is to give finely adjustable control of the airflow in a reasonably elegant manner. That's a fairly major failing to have included the feature but have it not function well I would think.

I don't think that need will even surface if you're getting satisfying airflow from the onset, so no need for adjustment or covering holes. It's dirt cheap as well, not like investing $30-40 for other tanks. GS AIR only $9 at www.evape.us or www.sweet-vapes.com.

Can't say for sure but based on the couple of reviews up at Sweetvapes the air flow control may be working in the release version despite the disclaimers.

.

Just like to add a lil feedback here. Went to evape, and they were out of stock and it appears no coils either.
Went to sweet vapes, and put the tank in my cart (4 bucks more than evape) as well as coils. I had an order for 27 bucks when I was done. Going through check out, I DIDN'T get the free shipping option like I had read before adding stuff to my cart, and the box explaining the free shipping was GONE.
I emailed them telling them why I wasn't placing an order. Sure, it was only 3 bucks shipping, but I had enough in my cart for the free shipping I had read about before placing stuff in my cart.
We'll see what comes of it, but I was not happy about what appeared to me, as deception. If that's the real game they were playing, sweet vapes will never get a dime of mine

They were in stock earlier at Evape they must have sold out. They get a lot of heavy traffic/business so I'm sure they will be in stock soon. Coils are likely on order from the supplier. Sweet-Vapes does not offer a free shipping option that I am aware of. I have always paid for shipping. First class mail is $3 up to 13 oz in weight and $5.80 for Priority Mail exceeding the 13oz limit. Both companies are highly reputable and I and others have never had issues with either. I would wait for the response and see what they have to say. You can get free shipping at Evape when you order only $25 worth of merchandise which is a very good deal. I'm sure the tank will be available very soon and the coils shortly. Sweet Vapes should get in touch with you during business hours, keep in mind that they are closed on Sunday as it's not a regular business day. There are other vendors that stock them but I have not had personal dealings with them and thus would not feel comfortable recommending them. I strive to recommend only the best to fellow vapors. Hope everything works out for you and that you can get your tank and coils soon for yourself and your wife. All the best.

There was a box on their site, with a pic of a package and something about shipping. I clicked the box and it opened a new window (small) and explained about free first class shipping with 25 dollar orders, and I didn't read what it said with 50+ dollar orders.

The box disappeared after I started putting stuff in my cart. I couldn't find it after that.

I understand they likely weren't working today, just pointing out I e-mailed them. I'm interested in seeing how they handle it.

Well, I know what I saw. If they don't handle this in a way I think is reasonable (such as playing "what box") then I'll just find another vendor.

There are enough vendors out to screw vapers, and IF I think they are playing some game, I'll mark them off the list to buy from.

Note: I'm thankful to have helped those of you who have appreciated my valuable time and positive contribution. I will continue to help those of you to the best of my ability because that is the essence and spirit of the forum. We stand by, learn and support one another though the challenging journey ahead. However, from this point forward, I will no longer waste my time with the few ignorant people who offer nothing but bile, hate, ignorance and stupidity. Feeding their disease only heightens their insanity and gives them the attention they desperately crave. The GS Air tank hits like a freakin'champ! I love these tanks, the chrome quality is
second to none. The tips are great tips! The tanks stay so clean, never needing
wiped down! It just stays clean! No mess!

The coils and the life of them are great too! Again, the best hit for me ever, came
from a Eleaf GS Air! Highly recommended tank and at a great price!

I am torn between the melo and this.
Mom needs out of her Protank for an upgrade.

I have had the GS Air and it has given a really good vape on my eLeaf 20W. I just decided last night to upgrade to the 30W mod because a coworker has had it for a week and I love the tank she has. She has the Melo and it is provides a much more flavorful, wonderful cloud, at only 11W out of the possible 30W.

My question for everyone or anyone--I have had my GS Air tank for a couple months now. I am on the low nicotine level, sometimes 0% nicotine (just need it for the hand to mouth motion). Lately I've been getting really "lazy" clouds, or the sounds of my oils being sucked in (but they arent, it just sounds like it), and finally, the head is starting to get hot really fast. Does anyone know if this means it's coil replacement time for the GS Air or if it's my actual eLeaf battery? The battery usually lasts 3 days and I use it frequently.

I have the eLeaf 10W with a GS16S and I cannot go above 3.3V without the burnt taste, but it's just a back up when my regular is charging. I'm gonna do away with the 10W for the most part once my 30W comes in. Should be next week. I ordered the 30W along with a Melo Air tank, and 5 replacement coils from sweet-vapes for only 77$. Not a bad deal because the eLeaf comes with the USB, wall adapter, etc.

Thanks! I honestly suggest going with the Melo from my experience with my friend's tank. That's why I ordered myself one!

How do you know when to change the coil? I have the 20W battery and the GS AIR. Lately it's given a weak cloud with the sounds of juices being sucked, which they aren't. The battery is also getting pretty hot. Is this a sign the coil is at it's end finally? I haven't changed it since I got it maybe in December. I ordered a 30W iStick Eleaf battery with the Melo tank last night, but I still want this one working too. I'm hoping it's the coil, but I haven't found anywhere that says either way.

Yes your coil needs changed.

Typically you change coils when the flavor starts getting off, and the performance is dwindling.

Hey, kind of looks like this thread has died, but... Did you find a solution? I have an iStick 30w with a GS Air tank, I bought it 5 days ago and I already have the same ("lazy" clouds, gurgling, hot tank and iStick) issues. Not too reassuring for a new device. You've been at it much longer than I have so I won't/can't give any advice but I did find a solution (of sorts) for the gurgling, I seemed to have started drawing (sucking) too fast, once I backed off the gurgling went away. Still no idea about the heating up and lack of clouds.

Adding my $0.02...

I'm new to vaping and walked into a local shop a little less than 4 weeks ago, told them I was ignorant, and asked for a suggestion to get me started. I walked out with a 20W iStick kit that included the GS Air.

The tip became loose on the second day. It wiggles, and sometimes comes off. It collects a lot of liquid under it, too. I pull it off and dab the liquid out 4 or 5 times a day. (I only vape about 3 mL a day).

I quickly found myself wanting to take bigger, deeper hits. The airflow adjustment does work, but I've got it wide open and am not satisfied.

If I take it over 12W or 13W, I get burned flavors.

It gurgles.
It spits.

The heads on it were lasting for about 20mL of juice, but I will admit that this might be my own fault. In my effort to get a more satisfying hit, I was taking really long pulls on it (the iStick shuts off after 10 seconds, and I took it there every time), and I had the power up to the point of near burning.

In the past week, I've sort of learned how to deal with the thing better. I keep it below 8W, and I never pull for more than 5 seconds either. The gurgling and spitting seems WAY better if I use heavier VG juice (50/50).

Doing all of these things, I can tolerate the thing and I'll keep it as a back-up, but I ordered a different tank already.

I think you've discovered that not everyone vapes the same way. For a beginner, that's a nice kit. It is limited if you like direct lung hits, but for mtl vapers it'll be more than adequate. Vaping style is one of those things that's trial and error in the beginning.
