I bought the Istick 50w by eleaf a couple of weeks ago from Vape NW online. I had no problems with it until about a couple of days ago. When I would go to fire it, it wouldn't fire and the display would read no/low battery when in fact it was charged at least to 50%. I was only running it between 35/40w, so I know I wasn't draining the battery. Well earlier this morning it was acting fine, but later it began to really get on my nerves because it was not firing at all. Before it would say low/no battery, but then after trying to fire again it would work fine. This time, though, it wouldn't even fire. Then all of a sudden it began firing again, but then I started getting this weird taste, almost like a dry hit, but different. I checked my tank (aspire atlantis) and it was fine (plenty of juice and screwed on correctly.) I decided to take one last hit off it to see if it was just a bad hit, but then I heard a pop and saw smoke pouring out of the charging port. I don't know what that exactly means, but I know that isn't good. The thing won't even turn on now, but even if it did, I wouldn't want to use it. Has anyone else had a problem in general with their Istick 50W? I just sent Vape NW an email about this. I haven't even had the product for a month, I purchased it on March 31st and received it about a week later.

Yeah I figured as much, gonna go to the local vape shop here in town to see what they recommend I use until I can get in touch with Vape NW.
Why don't you just phone VapeNW? When I had to phone, someone answered right away and immediately sent me out a new unit!
Just got off the phone with them and they were very helpful! Sent me a return label and am putting it in the mail today! Just need something to get me by until I can get my replacement.
Lol I know that now. I will def be keeping back ups on the regular cuz you never know! I had like 50 when I was using the pens lol now that I went to a box I never had to have a back up until now because of what happened.
Just got the m80 as a back up, but for some reason when I fire it tastes like battery acid and not the juice I have in it. Could the incident with the eleaf hurt my atlantis. And how do I properly clean it to get the bad taste out. I changed the coils and everything, but still getting that taste. I don't want to inhale battery acid...
I wonder if you burned the insulator?
I'd take the whole Atlantis apart and give it a good wash in hot, soapy water. (You're not inhaling battery acid!)
Thank you for all of your help Amanda! You have been awesome! Like I said I'm still learning and I am sort of a noob, so yeah. I just went from pens to box mods not too long ago.
How is it working out now? Did cleaning the Atlantis help? Just like with the pens, you should always have a backup. Stuff does go wrong, and when it does you need a backup (as you found out). Sorry to hear about your misfortune, but glad to see VapeNW stands by their products.
Watch out with that M80, heard from quite a few folks that it doesn't work as expected. Owner of one of the local B&Ms here said they wouldn't even re-order them once their stock was gone. I hope you got a good one.

I was given an Istick 50w as a gift. It worked great for about 4 - 6 weeks. I picked it up from my desk and the screen looked odd. I went to the shop where it was purchased and the guy said he had no idea what was wrong and it was past their 30 day return policy and just kind of ignored the situation. I went to another of their stores and the girl there tried to tell me I had cracked the screen. There is no way I cracked the screen when all I did was pick it up from my desk. She gave me a name to try and contact the manufacturer since it was still with in their 90 days but was never able to locate anything. No my screen has completely gone and it is getting so hot you can't touch it if the tank is on.
Get rid of that mod. Google "auto-fire istick50" if you want to read a few hundred horror stories of these burning, exploding, and a few cases of homes burning. These mods have been a complete disaster and eleaf/joyetech refuses to acknowledge there is a severe problem with them. Not only that, they refuse to warrant them. Joyetech/eleaf/ismoka sells garbage.
