Emma Stone has explained why she ultimately passed on the chance to join Paul Feig’s upcoming female-led Ghostbusters film.
“The script was really funny,” Stone told The Wall Street Journal. “It just didn’t feel like the right time for me. A franchise is a big commitment – it’s a whole thing. I think maybe I need a minute before I dive back into that water.”
Stone was reportedly on the studio’s “interest” list earlier this year and was a major part of the recent Amazing Spider-Man franchise.
