Samsung's first Galaxy Unpacked Event for 2022 is here. As with previous Galaxy Unpacked events, Samsung announced several new Android smartphones and tablets coming to its lineup, including the S22 smartphone family and a new line of tablets. In case you missed today's event, here is everything announced.

Galaxy S22 Ultra​


Samsung's latest flagship in the Galaxy S series is taking an interesting approach as it will include an S Pen, which will be included with every Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. While the S21 Ultra was the first in the Galaxy S smartphone to support the S Pen, the stylus was an optional accessory you could purchase separately.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra features a 6.8-inch display with a resolution of 1440x3088 and a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. The forthcoming Galaxy S flagship includes a few memory configurations: one with 8GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage or 12GB of RAM with either 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of internal storage.

The rear cameras on the Galaxy S22 Ultra include a 108-megapixel wide, a 12-megapixel ultrawide, a 12-megapixel ultrawide, a 10-megapixel 3x optical telephoto, and a 10MP 10x optical telephoto lens. While the front camera has 40-megapixels. Samsung also confirmed that the S22 Ultra has a 5,000mAh battery and that the phone's battery life should last "over a day."


The Samsung Galaxy S2 Ultra will launch on February 25 with a starting price of $1,199.99. The S22 Ultra will come in four colors (Black, White, Green, and Red).

Galaxy S22+ and S22​


Alongside a new Galaxy S flagship phone, Samsung also announced the Galaxy S22+ and the Galaxy S22. There are several key differences between the two phones, as you probably guessed. Yet, some similarities between the two phones include a 50-megapixel wide, a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. Both phones also include a Full HD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 resolution.

Additionally, both phones have a 10-megapixel front camera, while the rear camera setup on both phones includes a 12-megapixel ultrawide, and a 10-megapixel 3x optical zoom lens. The base memory configurations for both phones include 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.

The Galaxy S22+ includes a 6.6-inch display, a 4,500mAh battery, a 45W charger (similar to the S22 Ultra), along with Wi-Fi 6E support. While the Galaxy S22 has a 6.1-inch display, with a 3,700mAh battery, a 25W charger, and Wi-Fi 6 support.

Pre-orders for both phones begin today with a release date of February 25. The Galaxy S22's retail price starts at $799.99 while the Galaxy S22+ starts at $999.99. Both smartphone models will be available in four colors (Black, White, Green, and Pink)

Galaxy Tab S8 Series​


Samsung also announced the Galaxy Tab S8 series, comprising of three models, including the first-ever Ultra tablet from the tech giant. All three models include a 4nm processor, an S Pen in the box, ultra-wide cameras, quad speakers, a 2960x1848 resolution, and three microphones with noise-cancellation. All three SKUs also support 45W charging, which Samsung claims will charge the tablets in 90 minutes.

The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra offers a 14.6-inch display with a resolution of 2960x1848. The Tab S8+ includes a 12.4-inch display and a resolution of 2800x1752, and the entry-level Tab S8 includes an 11-inch display with a resolution of 2560x1600.

The memory configurations also differ slightly between the three tablets as the Tab S8 Ultra offers up to 16GB of RAM and internal storage up to 512GB. While the Tab S8+ and Tab S8 have a max RAM configuration of 8GB and up to 256GB of storage.

All three tablets are available for preorder beginning today with a starting price of $1,099.99 for the Tab S8 Ultra, $899.99 for the Tab S8+, and $699.99 for the Tab S8. The Tab S8 Ultra is available in one color variant (Black), while the Tab S8+ and Tab S8 come in three colors: Black, Silver, and Pink.
