Anyone paying attention to the last Street Fighter 5 trailer should know that M. Bison, aka Dictator, is the newest addition to the roster, but I doubt they expected how many new tricks he'd have up his sleeve. Sure, he looks like the same old Bison (except what's up with that gray hair?), but much like with Charlie before him, it seems the folks at Capcom saw fit to take some liberties with his play style. I'm all about that, so let's dive into what's new!
So a bunch of his moves, most notably his punch normals, wreathe his opponents in psycho energy, or as the more technical-minded refer to it, "purple stuff." It could just be cosmetic, but it's so distinct that I have to wonder if it serves a gameplay function. After seeing how crazy Capcom went with Charlie, I'm willing to believe almost anything. Perhaps it drains meter, or deals damage over time? What do you do, purple stuff?
