Can I use a tablet to upgrade my evic vtc mini? I dont have a computer just internet and my galaxy s3 and s5. I've got a friend who will let me borrow his tablet. Or could I do the update on a library computer ? Thanks for any help.

You will definitely need a computer. In fact, I have NOT been successful getting it to work on a Windows 8.1 computer and had to use a Macbook to get it to update. HTH

What tablet? Is it running full blown windows? That would make sense because it would essentially be a "computer" that way.

That would do it ... :)

I guess I'm old school, the word tablet automatically means Android or iPad to me ... sometimes forget that windows "tablets" are pretty popular now. :D

Yeah, the Smok debacle is horrible. I had a hell of a time upgrading the mod. To make matters worse, until the latest update to the app, it would install but not run on my phone ... a single platform would be awesome, but I don't think they will ever be there ... :(

For each and any Operating System, you need a different compiler, in order to build the application. Therefore, you can't have a single platform.

I just updated to v1.30. It only took a few seconds and showed the SS temp control setting straight away. Sadly, my Crown tank is more than halfway full and it has the RBA base with a kanthal Clapton coil in it. Once I finish vaping the existing liquid I'll either put a 316L stainless steel coil in the RBA or use one of the normal coil heads that I already rebuilt with 26 gauge 316L SS.

I'm thrilled that Joyetech is putting out so many real updates for the VTC Mini. I'm almost ready to order another VTC full kit. I really like the eGo One Mega with the rebuildable coils. I'll rebuild a CLR head with stainless steel later today to see how it works in temp control. I hope it works. The eGo One Mega has slightly more airflow with the CLR heads than the Crown has with the RBA. The Mega never leaks and my Crown always seems to seep a tiny bit of juice juice around the air control ring. Uwell really needs to come out with an O-ring upgrade kit for the Crown. If they did, the VTC Mini + a Crown tank might be the ultimate "small form" combo.
