So! I've been SubOhming with a .5 coil resistance for a while now on a mech mod. Currently I'm waiting ever-so-NOT-patiently for my new evic vtc mini and kanger subtank mini to come in the mail and I want to go to about a .3 coil resistance. I've taken a couple puffs off of other people's mods who also subohm and I really dig the vapor production/flavor from about the .2 range at 45-50 watts. The evic mod I'm waiting for goes up to 60 watts. My question and what I'm needing help with is, am I looking at the correct battery? I have the ohms law calculator on my phone and the battery I have in mind, seems fine for what I'm trying to achieve. It's a purple Efest 18650 2100mAh 30A Flat Top battery. Am I going in the right direction? I'm a n00b at going below .5 ohms! Thanks for reading and your reply is much appreciated! Also, sorry if my topic is in the wrong area; I'm new to the forum...

Yes that battery will work but there are better choice like the Sony vtc 5 or Samsung 25r.. I use the 25r it's around 5$ each

I've not used this part of the site specifically but have used other sections. The Battery Drain tab shows both input and output so you should be able to see what your battery drain would be. Amp draw isn't quite the same on a VW device as it is to a mech mod. Easy way to stay in the safe zone is just check what the max input current is for the device, if it's max input current is 20 amps pickup some 25 amp or above batteries and you've given yourself some head room.

Welcome to VU!

If you have access to a PC that has a Windows operating system and a USB port, you can upgrade the Firmware to V2.0. There are some videos showing how to do it. It's really quick and easy. The upgrade will make it a 75W mod, and add temp control for Stainless steel wire. I'm using VTC 5 in my mod, since I have a bunch. However, this works just as good http://liionwholesale.com/collectio...at-top-wholesale-discount?variant=3263844292?. In addition, it has a higher capacity.

The Efest will work. However, it's not the greatest of them all.

Awesome! I typically stay with IMR batteries which is why I didn't look too much into the Sony VTC 5 but I definitely will now. I appreciate the feedback!

The VTC 5 are tested and cheaper at the vendor, I posted above, for the LG battery. I get all my batteries there.

liionwholesale is the only place I buy batteries also. Ordered 6 VTC5s 3 days ago and they came in today. And they give you a nice battery case for 2 batteries with your purchase.

As long as ur using a regulated device, ur good to go,
Batteries are very important especially if ur using UNREGULATED DEVICES
