FA Lychee ideas?

Hey I've never tried Lychee before but I spontaneously added FA Lychee to my shopping cart in my last order.

I just thought I would ask if anyone has tried this or the real fruit and if they have any recommendations before I waste a bunch of supplies.

2% Dragon Fruit
.5% Vanilla

It's a good fruit base.

Lychee is still on my want list, so I don't have any first hand experience with it, but I was reading awhile back that if you take dragon's blood clone recipe and substitute lychee for the strawberry, that it's tasty.

dragon's blood clone recipe
dragonfruit 10%
strawberry 4%
bavarian cream 2%
sweet cream 1%
vanilla swirl 3%
Ethyl Maltol 1%

dunno if the %'s will need adjusting with the substitution.
Edit to add - may want to lower the dragonfruit %. That 10% is the way the recipe was written when I found it.

I dug out my notes on that recipe.

I got the recipe from http://www.kritikalmass.net/proddetail.asp?prod=DRAGONS-BLOOD-CLONE and they have in notes
All flavors from TFA
Hot water bath and steeped for 72 hours with no lid and covered with a small piece of paper towel to reduce contaminants

welcome Getting tired of the chocolate/vanilla/creams/black cherry mix I've been vaping, so I'm thinking I'm gonna have to mix up a batch of this myself and give it a go (with strawberry since don't have lychee )

I mixed this the other day and it's not bad. It definitely tastes very lychee-ish!

FLV Lychee 0.5% [but I think you could use FA Lychee at the same %--you might try lower to start]
TFA Strawberry - 4%
FW Sweet Cream - 2%
TFA Vanilla Swirl - 4%
TFA SweeTART - 2%
EM @ 5% solution - 1%

based on my shake and vape, I'd definitely lower the dragonfruit in that recipe I posted earlier. But, everyone has different tastes

Yeah I purchased this after I ordered Lychee and had to place another order with those flavorings and I'm still waiting on those to get here.

Can't wait to try it.

made another shake and vape of that recipe, at 1/2 as much dragonfruit, and imho it was much better, with flavors more balanced

I took a stab at this too:
Dragonfruit TFA 5%
Lychee TFA 4%
Bavarian Cream AZ 2%
Vienna Cream FA 1%
Vanilla Swirl TFA 3%
EM @10% TFA 1%

The shake n vape test was just ok. I will let it steep for a few days and give it another taste. This did spark some other ideas to try and find a use for the scary TFA Lychee.

I had a lychee and pear from free state vapor in kc and it tasted like juicy fruit gum. I threw the lychee in my basket last time but forgot the pear....... Oh well, that's a reason to make another order

I agree!! Without divulging the recipe, I mixed it up with what I had and it's fantastic!! I'm going to order the missing flavors and am anxious to try it with those included.

I did just that. Good thing LastPass knows my user name/PW to my junk email. It took me a few clicks to remember where I put the link.

You are right that is a good site to get mixing ideas from. once you get pass the nosey questions. I made myself be a 101 year old beginner cook that enjoys southern soul food (I was listening to zydeco music at the time). I popped right to the Lychee deserts and within minutes I have an idea to try.

If you enjoy fruit flavors - try it! Lychee is a difficult flavor to explain...it tastes like, well, lychee. The first time I ever tried lychee I didn't quite know what to make of it. It was a free sample of Grand Vapor's Asian Porn. Once I stopped trying to figure out the flavor I began to really enjoy it.

HIC's Lychee Pudding is a fantastic recipe (available on his Gumroad store). I highly recommend it. I vape it nearly every day. It's creamy and full flavored. The optional ingredients bring it to another level - but it's quite good without them. Keep FA Lychee around 1% or below. It's fairly strong and can overpower. At very low percentages it can be used to sweeten. Give it a shot!
