Hey everyone.
Bought 3 LG HG2's from a local vendor today and threw them on the charger when I got home. One charged way faster than the others, but it was charged more when it went on the charger. Luc v4 charger read 3/4 bars. The other two were 2/4 bars and 1/4 bars. The cell in question also has a smaller space in the ring from the bottom of the battery to the ring itself on the negative side. The other two are identical and charge pretty much identical. The two matching ones have been charging for about 30 minutes and still haven't hit 4V while the other has been at 4.2 for 10 minutes. All 3 batteries read
LGDBHG21865
O323K192A2 (I think it's an O and not a 0)
All three has identical print
All positive insulators are matte white
All three had no markings on metal cases
All three had a silver sticker printed
18650 3.6V 3000maH
All three have identical wraps
I have three hg2's I've been using and I get about 10-13 ml of juice running dual coils at .28 ohms and 65 watts. These wraps look a bit more chocolatey, the printing on them is significantly smaller, and the codes on the bottom are all 1 apart from eachother with the last number.
Is it possible I got one fake out of a batch of three? Do batteries come from LG with such different charge levels? What are your thoughts?
If you'd like more pics let me know.
Thanks for the help!
Update: both positive and negative terminals look different on the battery in question. All signs point to fake? The battery by itself in the picture is the one. The shop I bought them from said they charge them before they sell and one battery was charged more than the others. They said they always order from the same vendor. Can same batteries have different spacing between the rings easily visible?
