With Sara’s death, Pope has gone back to berating the Mason family about how they all seem to survive while others around them die. His tirades felt very familiar to what we’ve heard him say in the past. Pope tends to come off as a dog with no real bite to his bark, and there was more of that this week, at first. His confrontation with Tom was tense and emotional but nothing we had not seen previously. It was refreshing to see Tom finally say enough was enough and just kick Pope out of the group. That exchange was a long time coming and, honestly, Pope really isn’t that much of an asset and has always been a liability. Tom has been very patient.
