Whether the real culprit is low sales, Marvel's ongoing feud with Fox or simply the imminent arrival of Secret Wars, Fantastic Four comes to an end with this issue. The good news is that this issue serves as a natural conclusion to James Robinson and Leonard Kirk's run. If a bit lacking in surprises, this issue neatly ties up all loose ends and bids the Richards clan a fond farewell.




Above all, Robinson seems intent on making up for all the darkness and hardship the FF faced in the early issues of this series. This issue is really about the family rallying around one another in the face of adversity. Every team member is given their moment in the spotlight. There are a number of similarities to be drawn between this issue and Fantastic Four #604 (the finale to Jonathan Hickman's main saga) in terms of tone, scope and a general sense of redemption for a team too used to failure in recent months. Robinson doesn't let the cancellation dampen the festivities.
