OK, so I got bored while I was on Fastech's site and decided to buy the Billow V2 clone. I own the Uwell Crown and the OBS Crius already, Anyway I pull the trigger on one and it arrived yesterday in the mail. Upon opening the box and handling the clone I could feel it was lite as a feather but giving it the benefit of the doubt I started doing the usual.
First thing I did was tear it all down so I could wash all the parts out and upon removing the AF ring there is a small screw that I would say is just a fraction smaller than what you find in the hinge point on a pair of glasses, well it falls out and onto the carpet, the vaping gods must have seen this and showed mercy on me because they let me find the little screw in just a few minutes. I decided before washing all the parts I would solve the small screw issue and put some hot glue in the hole and had the screw thread into that and it held. By the way I tried the usual put a strand of wire in the hole and thread the screw in but it didn't hold.
After getting it all torn apart, washed and dried I placed a couple of 28ga. micro coils I whipped up on the deck that wont be winning any beauty contests then rather than grabbing the Ko Gen Do or the Muji I went to the old stand by CVS cotton. Heck I have never wicked this style deck before so I wasn't about to waste my more expensive cotton on it. I filled the tank up then mounted the Billow on my Fuchai and waited for a minute to see if it was going to seep/weep or just plain old piss all over my mod but it didn't, now it's time to try this thing out I think to myself so giving it a small vape just waiting for the taste of burned cotton but it doesn't happen so I take a larger vape still no burn, hey lets turn up the wattage and try a large deep vape, still no burn and the flavor is FANTASTIC.
So where is the shame???? the shame is OBS (Crius) weeps/seeps and or pisses on my mods but gives a really nice vape, the Uwell (Crown) with rba deck, sucks to wick, dry hits or floods, PISSES all over you mod and about the only real flavor I can get out of it is burnt cotton. So the shame is I paid a lot more money for both of my authentic tanks and a cheap clone has them beat.
