"People who want to stop smoking do have alternatives, though, said Barren River District Health Department health educator Joyce Adkins.

"They need to use FDA approved methods like nicotine gum, nicotine patches or some of the prescriptions to help you stop smoking," she said. "They can use the Kentucky Quit Line at 1-800-QUITNOW" (784-8669)."
