During Gamescom 2015, Square released a new trailer for Final Fantasy XV, titled "Dawn."
Its official description reads, "The destiny of the stars is set in motion 15 years before the events of FINAL FANTASY XV. As the shadow of turmoil is cast over the land, there is hope on the horizon as an unbreakable bond is forged between a father and son, and the light of a new dawn rises on a hero."
The emotional trailer begins with the text "Fifteen years ago...Fate would fall to the father and son of Lucis" before cutting to a handful of events that helped shape the world of XV.
A young Luna is shown terrified, as she attempts to escape the clutches of a soldier. We then cut to a security checkpoint in a city patrolled by armed guards, but most importantly, a super cute dog.
