Finally my first DIY order, opinions needed

I am not much for dessert or creamy pretty much just fruit so here is my to order list. If there is anything I will need but don't have please clue me in and I will adjust my cart. Thanks so much

My go to juice is a frozen lemonade so I picked things that I thought would make good variations of that. I read the meringue and pear are good for sweeteners. I am going with a DIY kit for supplies and pg/vg and nic just to try it out before making a bigger investment.

You all have a lot of great info here for us new folks and that is appreciated. Particulary HIC's notes on the FA flavors. I hope I can make some tasty simple fruit juices to save a little money in the long run.

Any of those would be good as a standalone, or with a little meringue. And a few would be good combined with one another too. It's enough to keep you busy while you're waiting for your next order to come in....

I was always a fruits person and didn't think I'd be into creams and cookies and such, but HIC's recipes quickly changed that.

Actually, you can always blame him! You have to order more flavors to TRY to stay a step ahead, but it never works out because that next recipe comes out and what happens? Yep..you guessed it! ONE FLAVOR SHORT!!!! DAMN YOU HIC!!!! LOL

I had to wait a week for mine after the Strawberry Cotton Candy recipe came out. Stalk BCV. I think they also have an email notification thingy so that you get emailed as soon as it's back in stock. Or mama j's. I think wllmc said they have that feature too.

I'm stalking all three major flavor vendors, mainly bcv, due to their location. However, I never saw the option for a notification, due to using my iPad for ordering and browsing. I had to switch to the full site, in order to see that option.

I used to collect hotwheels, I spent so much on those little cars. Now my flavor budget suffocated those sweet little pieces of metal lol. I used to explain my addiction to my wife as an "investment" now I just have to be honest , I need the new flavor because I dont have it and thats the only reason and then I also have to hang my head and see if permission is granted. hahahha. I have so many I havent even tried or opened or even smelled but I still keep buying.

I'd drop the Meringue and add Strawberry. 3% Strawb and 3% Lemon Sicily (or 4% each for stronger) is really good.
Forest Fruit has been more useful to me than Bilberry, but that's just personal preference.
BlackCurrant has a sweet-sour flavor that's great with lemon (it's also part of Forest Fruit).
How about raspberry lemonade? (also part of Forest Fruit)
A little lime juice (FA Lime Cold-Pressed) is good in lemonade for a tart flavor.
A little FA Orange makes it sweeter.
A little Spearmint appeals to some people in lemonade.
Pear is a good sweetener, but Apricot is an alternative (and great with White Peach). Lychee is another.
Anise is fantastic for alternative touch of cool.
Victorians mixed gin in lemonade, and FA Gin is great flavor for that (juniper/herbal)
For really strong lemon flavor, a little FA Fuji can do that
Do you like iced tea with lemonade as real beverage? FA Black Tea can do that.

BigKev, there is as much money to be saved in DIY as there is in vaping. . . (Oh but hon, I had to get that new mod/atty/charger, it was on sale and it's shiny. Oh hon, I had to get more flavors, I had a coupon code that was gonna expire at BCV.)

The flip side is the creative freedom, ability to modify for changing tastes/flavor ADD, and not feeling screwed when a mix turns out inferior vs a crappy bottle of "premium" juice at retail price.

OH COME ON!!! I did a little recipe searching and there were all these flavors I needed as well as some suggested here. I bought, then I went back and bought some more. I bought Hic's Sweet Watermelon Juice recipe which made me go back for the second order. Now I notice I didn't get the fresh cream for his pina colada recipe so there will be a third order soon enough. Also wanting to make a Tiger's Blood kind of thing along with the frozen lemonade that was the reason I decided to try DIY. Insanity. Here's the damage.
