Ordered a few flavors, 100mg nic, some syringes with blunt tips, plastic bottles and a liter of vg from bull city vapor and ecigexpress. I drip only and usually vape 90 to 100 vg so I opted not to get any pg. I didn't want to invest too much without knowing what I was doing it all came out to 60 bucks. In the future if all goes well ill get more flavors and some vaperstek nic, which upon reviews seems to be the best. For now I got the 30ml 100mg vg based nic ecigexpress offers for like 7 bucks, to see what I can conjure.
The flavors I picked up were specific to a recipe I got from the recipe forums for an oreo cheesecake type (thanks, btw) and I added some fa banana to the order for variety's sake.
So like 60ml of flavors, 30ml of nic and a liter of vg, that's good enough to start off with right?
Any tips and recommendations would be greatly appreciated, upon reading various threads on here seems you guys are freaking diy gurus.

Oh congrats! Yes, you can definitely get a good start with everything you purchased. I started small, too, just to see how I'd like it, and within a week of my first mix I was hooked. I think I had all my supplies for close to a month before I mixed anything, I was so nervous. After that first mix, I was happily surprised at how easy it was. That first mix was AWFUL, but then I fell into the right group of people, took lots of notes and followed other's recipes. It taught me a lot about flavors, flavor interaction and really opened up my flavor world. I vape a lot of things I never thought I'd like.

Take notes, be patient, mix safely and have fun. If you feel stumped, ask questions. If you think it's not good enough to ask, you should ask it anyway. You'll help other people that are too shy to post! This is how we help ourselves and each other.

Happy mixing!

Thanks huckleberried I plan on getting in on this as soon as I get all my stuff in. I actually decided to do this since I'm down to my last 60 or so ml of juice and had to reload, so decided to reload on supplies to do it myself.
The flavors are so cheap you can order 5 to 10 flavors a week and just have constant flavors coming in and go crazy. Hahaha. I have an addictive personality so I can see this getting big for me.

No matter what you are better off now than smoking. I stopped smoking 4 months ago and even with my 4 devices (ego, mini nautilus, Nautilus and Lemo), 120 flavors, vg, pg, nic, scale and other supplies, I still spent less than my smoke budget AND I had fun along the way.
Yes, the flavors are cheap but it adds up quickly lol. You will keep coming for more coz it's fun to mix. Enjoy!

Well I managed to get over buying every new mod and atty that caught my eye after a few years of compulsive buying but this is different I think cause you're always burning through juice so yeah I think I'm done for.
I usually go through maybe 15 to 20 ml of juice a day which I keep a combo of that 22 dollar stuff I get at vaporshark like beards and cottonwood and the cheaper stuff I get online but doing some math hopefully this will be a whole lot cheaper like on another level cheaper.

Finally got my supplies in, kudos to ecigexpress and bull city vapor on real quick shipping, coming in on the same day.
I messed up the flavors I needed to mix the batch I wanted to tru, so I did a little experimentation. I made 3 bottles tonight. 2 of them are exactly the same, one I'll vape now and the other is like a test to see how it evolves, the 3rd was actually the best right after mixing and in a warm water bath for a couple hours but I'm still going to hold off and maybe sample it every couple of days to see.
Pretty excited but still sucks I missed a couple ingredients from what I initially wanted to make. Might have to do another order soon for a few other flavors as well.
Quick question, for higher vg mixes (all mine came to about 90-95vg) should I add a little more flavoring? Would the 5-10 percent in flavors travel better with more pg? I might have to do more research.
Thanks again to all who have answered my questions this is way fun.

Ahh the pg/vg fight lol.
I only have pg from flavors and .5 mg of nic (dripper) usually 90+%vg juice with 3-4% single fa flavors or 6-8% with a true mix. I get great flavor from it. If you don't get enough flavor bump the flavors half a % and see how that works for you

Can you taste your juice right after mixing or are they great after aging a bit?
The tfa banana cream concoction i made tasted good right off the bat, granted I used 5% of it. The other was super subtle. I'll see how it goes after aging a bit I might try vaping all the flavors alone so I know what I'm dealing with before I mix them all into shitty juices which might end up happening haha I see myself ordering more stuff real soon.

Tfa flavors I start around 7% with and worked up to 10+ % on a few flavors. And usually they taste good right off but I rarely make advanced mixes. 1-3 flavors usually
