Hi all,

Made my first build today. I figured aim high, and the rest should be easy, i.e. later, more sane builds.

I started vaping about 3 weeks ago, haven't had a smoke since....I smoked 2.5 packs/day.

Two 26 gauge with 10 wraps each

I can't say I like this build, it tastes OK (3.9 volts, 22W, on a Pico...I have no idea what the amperage is?). But there's a kind of acid-taste regardless of the liquid I put in, even if I lower or raise the wattage. It's constant. The flavour is full, but always with this 'other taste'. What am I doing wrong?

Merci:)
Shawn

With a dual the air flow is mostly going to the insides of the coils. You also have limited room in the juice wells for two wicks. You might do better with a single to start. I build mine with 28g SS wrapped on a #6 machine screw at around .7 at 18-20w and get excellent flavor.

Thanks Lefty. I rebuilt it with a .53 ohm single coil. Much better now. Delicious at 20W.

Enjoying this hobby immensely:)
