First dual vertical coil build... Pics and question(s)

So I decided to try a vertical coil build on my Troll RDA... 8 wrap 24g Kanthal... Left some wick (Climax cotton) in the well, and folded the top up and over the posts... Before I wicked it, they lit up super fast but super even... Wicked, it seems to do the same (I only power it 2-3 seconds... It "pops" juice right when I make the connection, so I hold it out for a brief sec before I hit it)... I do plan on running it by my local shop to have it tested (my voltmeter is shot)... But does this look (and sound from description) safe? It sure is easy to "lazy drip" straight into the chuff...

To be honest I've seen tons of rdas and deal with them a whole lot. And if it lights up that fast it may not be a safe idea. I would hate to see another vapor get blown up.

I usually build dual horizontals with 24g... but I build them around a larger diameter screwdriver from my kit... I read some peeps online saying to wrap around a 2mm, so that's what I did on this build... Perhaps I should try again around a bigger bit... IDK... I want to be safe for sure... But man this thing will create mega clouds! But yeah, I worry it might be to low since it glew so fast (in comparison)...

And not only are the clouds major (and I'm not really a cloud chaser)... But the throat hit is better and the flavour seems better... But without being able to test it... I don't like holding it igniting for too long...

The build looks ok. I'd cut the cotton on the top to about 30% of what you are using, make a couple small "Mushrooms". +1 for Huckelberried, get an Ohm meter if you are going to build and use on a mech. The only safety on the device is you and your brain.

If it pops and heats up fast with 8 wraps of 24g Kanthal on a tube mech then Im guessing theres a short or hotspot after you installed the cotton, that build should be in the .3 zone and what you are describing sounds like a .1-.2 build ramp up (If what you said was accurate and serious). I suggest a ohm meter (even a cheap one) o see if you can use someones regulated mod to show if you have a short what your resistance is. The build looks decent though, FYI I would have gone with wider shorter coils, angled them 45° and slightly off center and shorter on the cotton tips. Having them 45° and off center allows for the air to hit the first coil and continue across and hit the back of the opposing coil, this gives a nice clean flavor and warmer overall temp with more vapor.

I had it tested at my favorite shop today... It was reading at 28... so you were right on the money saying it should be showing at 3... I guess I did good on the build! I think the "pop" problem was just it being a fresh build and over-wicking (and over-juicing), 'cause I trimmed the top (as suggested) and mushroomed the tips and it hits smooth... But yeah, I'm gonna snag a new meter tomorrow for sure

If you dont want to wait then undo a wrap off each coil, unless its the Diameter of the coils that make it so they dont fit...
These fit in the griffin with room to spare, you could slap them in a rda for now to play with them. Im glad the mailmen actually got the product to its destination...I have had troubles with them lately.
