First off, I want to thank everyone at VU for their help, either by interacting or posting to one of the many threads I've read over the last few weeks. I've learned so much! You rock!

Dove in today and made some e-juice and the obligatory cup of coffee, of course!

First bottle was Pina Colada at 30/70, PG/VG. It was a lot thicker than the stuff I normally buy at the supposed same ratio. Decided to make 40/60 for the rest of the batch. Test vape was GREAT! Shake and vape for sure.

Next up was Key Lime Pie. Another GREAT vape right after shaking! Both of these were beyond what I expected to get. I've tried these from every vendor I could find and never liked them. To me, these taste pretty near perfect...

Third was Rhodonite. A kind of strange concoction that I haven't tried to vape yet and by far the highest number of ingredients. Almond, Bavarian Cream, Yellow Cake, Cookie, Cream Fresh, Apple Fuji, Meringue, Rasberry and Torrone. Smells good. This is up next to vape test!

Haven't tried the rest yet either, but they smell just like they sound. I made one mistake with Absinthe Strawberry and put the wrong strawberry in it. Oh well, we'll see if I need a do over...

Also made Orange Creamsicle and a Strawberry Cream. Can't express how much better these seem to be than the store bought stuff. The flavors and base liquids I'm using are great and I do believe it makes a hell of a difference. Decided to use my kids stickers to tell the difference between the bottles, LOL!

LOL, I have to have a cup while I mix, too.

I'm sure it goes without saying, keep those stickered bottles put up. Curious hands and all...

Were your recipes your own? They sound really tasty. I'm excited for you, there's nothing like a successful mixing experience. It's highly addicting.

Congrats! :stars2:

It took a bit to get comfortable measuring and getting a groove going, so it may have take 3 cups for those bottles. LOL

Kids are old enough to leave it alone, but I still hide the nicotine, even though it's 36. Better safe than sorry, for sure...

I got all the recipes from here and e-liquid-recipes.com. I have about 20 saved up so far. Out of this batch, there's only one that I am not sure I will like, the Rhonodite. It smells good, but it's not my preference for an ADV. I kind of screwed up when I started saving recipes. I made the names short and didn't record the creators/posters. Now I wish I did...

Time to get a Brother P-Touch Label Maker:D.
Although the stickers are cute...
Grats on your success.

Now that you mention it, I do have a label maker, LOL. I have tape and Avery label type stickers too I guess I could have used, but I kinda like the kids stickers for now. He doesn't play with them anymore, so he's fine if I repurpose them!

Love the stickers too. My labels for my mixes consist of white electrical tape and a sharpie lol.

I'll throw my name into the hat of "must have coffee when mixing" as well. Happy mixing!

Electrical tape. That's a good idea! No sticky leftovers! Thanks, @lownote2!

I finally made it through shake and vaping these. I am really liking the Pina Colada, Strawberry Cream, Key Lime Pie and Orange Creamsickle. Not so much the Rhodonite and Absynthe Strawberry. I mixed the wrong strawberry in the last one, so I may try a do over with that one. I'll let the Rhodonite and Absynthe Strawberry steep, but I don't think the others will make it long enough to matter. I can imagine the flavor change, but yeah, I already decided to give away the vendor bought juices I've been vaping.

Would you mind posting your pina colada and strawberry cream recipe? They sound really good.

I would be happy to. Here's the thing. I just started and when I copied the recipes, I didn't even think about recording it origins. I'm leary about posting with no credits. I don't want to be "that guy". Not sure how I'd go about doing it without ticking someone off?

As long as you haven't flushed or poured one of your DIY e-Liquids down the drain I consider that a success for sure. For my labels I am just using plain labels and a Sharpie. Since they are only for my own consumption as long as I can tell what I have in them to me it really doesn't matter. I do have good penmanship and if i was to get fancy I could start doing some calligraphy.

i collected (cheap/discounted) stickers at Target and Hobby Lobby,, even the holiday ones...all about $1 a pack,,,,,,i put them all over the bottles ,, like its not odd to see 5-10 stickers all over the glass bottles. the more i like it the more the stickers go on...and stuff i am not sure of gets a 'less appealing' sticker while it steeps or i just give up and trash them. i was so 'ocd' at 1 point that i threw away at least a quart of decent juice........because i couldn't remember dates or ingredients lol.

i also use actual labels (mostly now).......with a listing of ingredients ,,,,,although i see where many people write down the recipe and give it a number and put that number on the mixed bottle.........that does make sense,,, i would surely lose that master list even if it were tattooed to me. lol

I write like the paper is laying on a running paint shaker, which by the way I saw one today and wondered if they make smaller ones to shake my ejuice!

Vaping your own shit kicks ass.

I'm readying an order for some 120ml bottles :) And of course more base liquid.

Haha, I'm kinda ocd too. I am dating all my flavor bottles, and have a redundant spreadsheet and another spreadsheet that cross references flavors and recipes that also marks in red caution if they contain questionable ingredients and a phone app for recipes and a notebook and... Lol, trying to figure out a way to make tracking all the information eventually in one or two places.

I have some friends that want me to make their juice after they make sure I don't kill myself, lol! I may design a label just for fun for those.

Creation dates or expiration dates? I can't keep stuff around long enough to worry about that!

I'm thinking most won't last a year for sure, but some I won't use much of. If I don't keep track, in a year I'll dump all of it and repurchase. That's not very economical!

Ive done that with my store bought. 4-5 bottles that were almost gone. It was... interesting...

The Pina Colada I did is all FA. You are missing Lime Tahiti Cold Pressed and Pineapple. I don't want to post it because I don't know who created it, but I'll message it to you if you want. I tried to find it again so I could credit the original poster/creator, but I can't find it again, lol.

Could this be it? http://vapingunderground.com/threads/hics-pina-colada.18824/#post-856853

edit to add: you found it just as was about to post. I was pretty sure it was one of HICs creations...

That's it! I beat you to it by a few minutes. Look at the post above yours :p
HIC is the grand master of all things FA! I figured if what you mixed was all FA it had to be HIC...
