Hey guys,
So I've been experimenting in the last few days with some pre-steeped (1month) diluted flavours, and come across something that I can't seem to get enough of. It's a pretty simple recipe, and is fairly delicate, so depending on how strong you like your flavours you might want to up the percentages a tiny bit. The 10ml I made lasted less than 24hrs
I've only tested this in my Protank so far, using a 1.3Ohm micro coil at 8watts. I need to rebuild my kayfun and try it in there, though.
Since I used diluted flavours to make this, I'll put up two recipes: one using the dilutions I used, and another of just percentages. My diluted flavours were made using 20% flavouring, and 80% PG at 6mg/ml. They were steeped for around 1 month before I did anything with them (that was a hard month...)
Diluted Flavours (20% flavouring, 80% PG @ 6mg/ml) [Makes 10ml]
2.5ml TFA Anise
1.5ml TFA Orange Mandarin
0.5ml TFA Vanillin 10%
0.5ml CAP Apricot
5ml VG 6mg/ml
Raw Flavour Percentages (untested, but the maths works out!)
5% TFA Anise
3% TFA Orange Mandarin
1% TFA Vanillin 10%
1% CAP Apricot
50% VG 6mg/ml
40% PG 6mg/ml
The TFA Vanillin could probably be swapped for TFA French Vanilla, as the two are quite similar, and it's in such a small quantity as to not make a difference.
I think the anise could do with being toned down a just a little and the orange brought up, but it's a personal preference, really. I love anise. I've just made another version of this (Winter Warmer 2: The Warmering) with 0.2ml more Orange Mandarin and 0.5ml of TFA Cinnamon Spice (again, diluted flavours, same percentages as before), but the cinnamon is overpowering almost everything else apart from the anise..!
Anyway, just thought I'd share my first success!
