Hey guys,

So I've been experimenting in the last few days with some pre-steeped (1month) diluted flavours, and come across something that I can't seem to get enough of. It's a pretty simple recipe, and is fairly delicate, so depending on how strong you like your flavours you might want to up the percentages a tiny bit. The 10ml I made lasted less than 24hrs :(

I've only tested this in my Protank so far, using a 1.3Ohm micro coil at 8watts. I need to rebuild my kayfun and try it in there, though.

Since I used diluted flavours to make this, I'll put up two recipes: one using the dilutions I used, and another of just percentages. My diluted flavours were made using 20% flavouring, and 80% PG at 6mg/ml. They were steeped for around 1 month before I did anything with them (that was a hard month...)

Diluted Flavours (20% flavouring, 80% PG @ 6mg/ml) [Makes 10ml]
2.5ml TFA Anise
1.5ml TFA Orange Mandarin
0.5ml TFA Vanillin 10%
0.5ml CAP Apricot
5ml VG 6mg/ml

Raw Flavour Percentages (untested, but the maths works out!)
5% TFA Anise
3% TFA Orange Mandarin
1% TFA Vanillin 10%
1% CAP Apricot
50% VG 6mg/ml
40% PG 6mg/ml

The TFA Vanillin could probably be swapped for TFA French Vanilla, as the two are quite similar, and it's in such a small quantity as to not make a difference.

I think the anise could do with being toned down a just a little and the orange brought up, but it's a personal preference, really. I love anise. I've just made another version of this (Winter Warmer 2: The Warmering) with 0.2ml more Orange Mandarin and 0.5ml of TFA Cinnamon Spice (again, diluted flavours, same percentages as before), but the cinnamon is overpowering almost everything else apart from the anise..!

Anyway, just thought I'd share my first success!

I love Anise, too! And I love the flavors you chose for this. I'll have to sub with the brands that I have on hand, but I know I'll like this. Putting it in my file. Thanks, SquareFeet!

Thanks Misswish, and cheers Huck, good to know someone else love anise!

I've been playing with it a little more, and close to being at the point where I can stop tweaking it. I did learn that the addition of 0.5ml (diluted (20%/80%PG), in a 10ml recipe) of TFA Hazelnut was a disgusting idea, though...

I'm trying to think of something that I could use to add some 'high' notes to it, 'cos it's quite a bottom-heavy flavour at the moment, and I reckon something bright and citrusy would bring the whole juice forward a bit. I should get my hands on some lemon, lime, etc...

FA Lemon Sicily. It's nothing short of fantastic! It's not a sour lemon, it's just freakin' great. A tart lime would be FA Lime Cold Pressed. If you want to keep it TFA, I hear good things about the Key Lime. I keep meaning to get that one. I'll put that on my list!

Ive recently switched from protanks as my daily vape tanks to a kayfun and a taifun...The difference in flavoring is nothing short of night and day..Do yourself a favor and get your kayfun up and running..makes it so much easier to judge flavors added....you may find the flavor too strong in a good tank..Congrats on making something you like.

Oh definitely. I normally use my Kayfun but switched back to my protank a few days ago after getting sick of my kayfun coils being gunked up by Wakonda or Sure Bert (both Nicoticket maxvg juices). Tried SO many different builds, wick materials, coil ohmages, etc, but always gunks up after half a day. Wasted so much Wakonda :(

It arrived today... Made a quick 5ml tester at 4%, and it's absolutely divine! It's like the rind of a lemon but without the tart bitterness. Oh man... I think I'm in love :D

Oh, I'm so glad you enjoy it! I believe you'll find many good uses for it. It pairs sooooo well with Anise. I mixed a little thing a while back, not knowing how it'd turn out. So good.
