Who called it?

Well it seems the DNA40 with its temperature control has already been replicated. A site calling themselves Evkoo is taking pre-orders (now sold out) on a V3 Hana Clone for just $99.00. Will we see a slew of new CHDNA40 chips by Christmas - Id have to say so. This will of course tank the already hurting DNA40 market.

My source is ECF which has a link to this site selling the clone.

If Evolv had pushed the envelope and made even a 50 or 75 watt board, they would have owned the market. Nowadays all it takes is a marketing concept, an electrical engineer, and a board fab shop. I'd imagine Evolv is looking to make bucks by lawsuits now rather than help define the higher wattage vaping market.

I hope they fixed all the problems in the process of cloning.

Funny thing about the DNA40's - you can get the boards freely. Either the market is saturated, or vapers are moving on to other technology such as the YiHi sx350 and others like it. Hana is still selling their aluminum box with DNA40 for $250. You would think that they would drop the price below $200 to compete with other DNA40 devices, but no - Hana is going to stick with $250, and lose sales.

they've already clearly demonstrated in the past they have no business or common sense, i wouldnt pay more than $150 (and thats really generous) for an authentic hana. edit: you know at a minimum spring load your damn pins and build some strong magnets for the back cover its almost 2015...

Yea, tell me about it. My Siegelei/Sub Ohm innovations box has magnets and cost me $79. I paid $60 for my Chana 30 watt model.
