Hi all
I'm itching to try a recipe from HIC but struggling to find a Flavourwest outlet that stocks creme de menthe in the uk.
Do i go with TPA or make the following advice from HIC.
If i go with TPA at what %

2% FA Peppermint
1% FA Vanilla Bourbon (Classic will work okay, but Vanilla Bourbon's better here)
1% FA Vienna Cream
1% FA Fresh Cream
1% FA Marshmallow

Thanks guys.

I'm confused ... your looking for flavourwest brand 'creme de menthe' yet the recipe you listed doesn't call for it?

Your right it does confuse.
To make a creme de menthe HIC recommends
2% FA Peppermint
1% FA Vanilla Bourbon (Classic will work okay, but Vanilla Bourbon's better here)
1% FA Vienna Cream
1% FA Fresh Cream
1% FA Marshmallow

cool.. so then you don't really need to find a 'flavourwest' outlet.. you actually, for that recipe, need to find a supply for 'Flavour Art' (They are designated by the 'FA') and (flavourwest would be 'FW'). So to make this recipe you need to obtain 5 FA flavors as listed + plus VG and/or PG (depending on your preference) as well as nicotine if you so desire. I am in the US so not too familiar with your availability of suppliers but am thinking since FA is an Italian company you should'nt have too much trouble in the UK.

From what I've read so far, thinking that TPA % would need to be higher based on -that the FA flavors are more concentrated than the TPA. General consensus here is also that FA quality of flavor seems to be much higher than TPA overall .. (some exceptions and of course everyone's individual tastes may vary ;p)

I get what you're asking. It's really just a matter of your own convenience. You could use TFA's version at the same percent. If you do, let your recipe sit a while for that harsh (alcohol?) edge from the TFA flavor to dissipate. Or if you have all the flavors for it, make that all-FA version to use in the recipe. Whatever is most convenient for you.
