"Sidney Hayes, 23, was on a work break when he decided to have a smoke. After replacing his e-cigarette's rechargeable battery, Hayes went to take a drag—but then the device exploded in his mouth. His tongue and face were severely burned and he eventually had eight broken teeth surgically removed last December."

Batteries don't just explode for no reason so this was a damaged battery (needed to be rewrapped) that caused this one. - aka user error - So that's one down.

"Hayes went to take a drag" aka - He pushed the fire button and nothing happened so he pushed the fire button much longer and harder even though his hand was getting really hot. aka- more user error

"According to the lawsuits, Eriksen and Gardner suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns when e-Cig batteries exploded in their pant pockets."

So that's 2 of 4 that were walking around with loose 18650's in their pockets. - aka user error. - So that's 3 down.

45-year-old Marlene Rubertt:
We all know what happened here:

Olaf Ericksen, 40
Dontae Gardner, 19

"But Bentley and Rogers, in addition to other critics, also say that Big Tobacco is using e-cigarettes to target youth, advertising vape "juices" that come in a variety of flavors—everything from vanilla and blueberry pancake to fruit punch and "razzle berry." As of last year, youth used e-cigarettes more than any other tobacco product, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported."

Not only is this totally false as big tobacco companies make NONE of the flavors listed but the four people who are his clients are ages 19, 23, 40, and 45 so why the fuck is there a need to bust out the "What About The Children™" bullshit in this circumstance?

If I owned a shop I would have a legal document typed up from a lawyer stating:

"Lithium ion batteries can explode for any number of reasons, by signing this document you understand the dangers of these batteries and XXXvapes will not be held responsible for any damage to your property or person that results from the use and/or misuse of this vaporizer and battery."

It wouldn't be too hard to get a lawyer to draw something like this up. - 5150
