Hello! FA zeppola, FA Joy are my go to fried options. I think Wonder Flavors has a fried dough type that I have but haven’t tried. FLV too.

I'm working on a Fried Dill Pickle recipe and am using a combination FA Joy, SA Croissant, WF Deep Fried Pastry Dough and AP for the Fried part of the recipe. Please note that many folks get a stale beer flavor from FA Joy and I am only using the WF because I already have it. A single flavor mix of the WF @3% did not impress me.

For "fried" I like a combination of FA Metaphor & FA Joy. Nice flavor.
The Zeppola gives me a dry mouthfeel & fades too quickly for me.

Zeppola is a decent fried flavor, but it's more of a donut type. Might work well with coffee cake, but I'd toy with the idea of adding a touch of joy as well.

RF Deep Fried Sponge Cake might work for your coffee cake.
