So I made an experiment fused Clapton wire last night. 24g kanthal + 26g kanthal for core and 28g kanthal for outer wrap. Roughly 5.5 wraps around a 2.4mm screwdriver. Steam engine clocks a single coil at 0.366 ohms. I put dual coil in a velocity rda and my ohm meter is reading it as 0.209 ohms. Regulated mod reads it at 0.21. Both coils heat up evenly. Does the dual coil resistance seem a bit too high to anyone else? Any thoughts on why this is?
