Warning, full spoilers below.
Since the beginning of the series, Gangsta has hinted, nudged, and placed an emphasis on important development before committing fully to an explanation. Episode 5, Sanctions, capitalizes on that characteristic to build even more tension for upcoming episodes, is filled with great action, and adds a new major powerhouse to Ergastulum.
Instead of picking up with the intense fight between Nicolas and another high-class Twilight, this episode starts a bit softer with a flashback. Once again we see a young Worick provide for the hurt Nicolas, which is nice reminder of how, despite his family’s murder, Worick cares for Nicolas. This scene makes some difficult tension between the Handymen sting even more later on in the episode.
