Hi there folks, time for another review, today i will be reviewing the Aegis Legend 3 from Geekvape.

This right here is the one i was sent by my friends over at Sourcemore for review purposes.

My MO is to get you started with some visual aids before i get into the telling you my thoughts on this device, let us get started shall we.

Unboxing and first impressions:

Geekvape does a good job with their packaging and this case it remains the same.
Inside the box i found the mod neatly placed in its place and a small box with included the charging cable and the usual paperwork you get.

The blue i got looked ok,not a fan of blue as a color but it looks ok.
Some minor changes made on the outside when you compare it to the Aegis Legend 2,what i noticed right away is that the lock slider has disappeared which to be honest its something i don't like.

Battery door it does seem a bit sturdier than the previous version,it is weird thou the polarity inside the mod has changed thou.
I mean where the positive side when head in now its the negative and viceversa, not a engineer or electrician so no idea of why this change,no a problem thou.

Apart from the different aesthetics and design (minor) the mod keeps some of the features of the previous version but also removes some other features.
Said features are related to vaping modes...: VPC,VV,BYPASS AND LIMITED TC those are all gone.
Yeah i mean i don't use those modes but other people did use them,so they took modes away and implemented a ''faulty'' lock system on the mod?
Doesn't bode well...will talk about the sensor thingy in more detail later...but as you can probably tell i ain't happy.

Vaping time:

Before going full in i am dropping you a list of features and specs so for those that into numbers this will be a good read.

Ok so i got my tank gently screwed in the top and i am ready to give it a go,i press the button and inhale the vapor then exhale and that is about it.
I mean yeah its a mod and it does its job....is there more to this mod? Well lets see.

Delving into the menu lets check out the features, menu operation is pretty simple:

Five clicks of the fire button to turn on and off
Three clicks to enter the menu
In the menu, you have modes, lock settings, puff counter reset, color, and brightness
Use up and down to navigate the menus and fire to accept

This device has 5 vaping modes:
-Smart mode (adjusts wattage accordingly to the resistance of the coil)
-Power mode (regular wattage you adjust by yourself)
-Boosting (just like turbo mode,it will go max wattage for the coil you have installed)
-Eco (just to save battery, will choose the min power for the coil)
-Temp control with TCR

As you can see VPC,VV,BYPASS AND LIMITED TC are totally gone, seems odd to me that with a new mod which is supposedly is an upgrade from the previous model that they would take out some of the features.

So the touch feature to unlock is a total gimmick,i mean they took away the lock slider we had on the previous version so with this model you can't really lock the mod if you put it in your man bag or purse.
Well yeah it will be locked but once it rubs or touches something it will be unlocked,so yeah just to be clear you need to completely and i mean COMPLETELY turn off your device so it doesn't fire accidental...not cool.

In my video review i used my 120ml e-liquid bottle and just gently touched the back of the mod and voila!! unlocked and locked without a problem.

Apart from these obvious design flaws well yeah this mod works, you press the button and you can vape,in that sense yeah the mod does what its supposed to do.
It also has a IP68 rating so yeah you can get it wet and dirty and it will still keep on working, you can also drop it and it will keep on working (depending on the type of fall of course)

PROS:

-Looks a bit sleeker than the previous version
-You press a button and you can vape so it does its job
-Front 3 buttons have been changed,up and down are not protruding anymore and the fire button has a different design.

CONS:

-Touch Lock is a gimmick and doesn't work properly
-VPC,VV,BYPASS AND LIMITED TC are now gone
-Basically the same design as the previous Aegis 2,only minor changes
-They took away the lock slider so you can properly lock the device

Would i recommend this device:

Nope...Zero, Zip, Nada, Zilch.
In all honesty i cannot recommend this device, apart from the fact that they took away important vaping mode features they added a touch lock gimmick which doesn't do its job properly.
As Jim Carrey said once in a speech: ''Less is more'',i do not think that the touch lock is worth loosing those vaping modes they took away.

I mean ok i gotta be honest,if and only IF you need a mod for home use and you don't mind not having VPC,VV,BYPASS AND LIMITED TC then yes this mod would be a good choice.

Otherwise for out and about it really is not worth it,i mean yeah you could turn on and off the mod each time you want to vape that is the only solution of the touch lock thingy.

Thanks to Sourcemore that sent me this product so i could review it,they also gave me a code so if you're interested in this mod you can get a good discount:
