Hello fellow vapers,
I just wanted to give a mini review of the geekvape Griffin RTA (22m) and their customer service. Plus I wanted to hear some of your builds if you happen to own the Griffin RTA.
Review of the Griffin:
First off, this thing is awesome in every way. I was looking for something that was comparable to an RDA but with the convenience of not having to drip every couple minutes. I do chain vape and I just dont have the want to drip juice every time. If this is something that you feel too, THE GRIFFIN RTA IS PERFECT. It has not leaked so far (after getting used to the top fill, remember to close the airflow and juice control) which makes it perfect to carry around in my pocket at work.
The deck wicks easy, too. I watched a few videos before I built something on it and saw someone take their build with the cotton pointing out, take the piece with the griffin logo on it and press it on top of the deck, leaving a juice ring on the cotton. This adds a great outline for where you should cut your cotton.
The only downside is this rips through juice and my setup is only dual 26ga @ 37watts. You either have to not chainvape, have cash for a lot of juice or learn to make your own. I am looking into the third option as it seems like the logical step to take.
The main reason I wrote this review was to say how great the GeekVape customer service was. I received my tank in the mail and there was a machining flaw with it. I guess GeekVape just opened their USA customer service location in Troy, MI. I emailed them at [email protected] and was quick to receive a response. They corrected my issue before their USA service center was supposed to be officially open and I greatly appreciate it. I feel that it is very important for the companies that supply our vaping market to have good customer service due to the volume of products out. I just wanted to let everyone know that GeekVape is definitely a company that holds true to good customer service. I will continue to look to due to the quality in their product and customer service.
If anyone has a Griffin RTA and would like to share their build, I would love to hear it. Always looking to hear what has worked best for flavor and vapor production. Also, has anyone tried the top airflow attachment? I am hesitant to buy it. I have heard that top airflow lessens the cloud production and more holes makes me think more prone to leakage.
Thanks
