Getting a new mod and no clue which to snag up...

Hey Everyone,

I am looking to pick up a new mod in the next few weeks. Trying to do some research versus just running out and picking one up like I did this last time. Right now I am running around with a Smok m80 plus with a Kanger subtank mini on it. It works just fine for my first mod/tank setup. I have been running it since Father's Day this year and already feeling the need to upgrade. I have already ordered a Smok TFV4 and will probably pick up a Uwell Crown here shortly. I also have a Velocity RDA (clone) that I use when sitting at the house.

I want to get a new mod that will power everything. I know that I can run everything off of my m80 but I also know that folks have been saying that the TFV4 doesn't get rockin with flavor and clouds until you hit around 100w.

I have been looking at SIg's, IPV's, SMOK X Cube II, and some others. I am not wanting to spend much more than around $75 right now. Really the less the better but I don't want to short change myself... There are just so many options and I see so many out there that specs sound good and the mod looks good, but I am not sure about the chipsets and all the other that goes into it.

Know what tanks and RDA I have and my price range... what are some suggestions out there?

best options in my opninion and in your price range ish
sig 150
sig 150 with TC
ipv 3li
smok xcube 2

all but the fist can do TC in NI and Ti modes the xcube, if you can figure it out can also do SS in TC which is what the crown tanks .25 and .5 coils are and smok will be releasing SS coils for the tfv4 shortly

The ipv3li will probably require you to go online and upgrade it to the full 200w and to have ti TC.

Some people are having slight issues with the xcube with getting the newest software working so you can do tc with all 3 wires plus the charge you an extra $1 in their bluetooth app to do ti wire in tc
then like about 60 cents in the app again to add SS wire in TC. NOt really abig deal. but you need an adroid phone or iphone to run the app

one other option is thesnow wolf 200w it does tc as well

I would research those mods they are the most talked about that meet your demands.

SS is talked about a lot. I want it. Just a bad time. Lots are having trouble. Probably in 6 months there will be plenty of options. Right now, you are an early adopter. What ever you decide, there will probably be something better next month.

Those are actually the main mods I was looking at. efun has the x cube 2 for $42 right now. Not really caring about TC right out of the gate, just don't want to cut myself short.

Every place I find the snow wolf around $75, they are sold out. I all the Sigs I am finding are in the $85+ range. I did find the IPV3 for $77.

For the price point, I may just go with the X Cube 2 unless there is a solid reason I should spend the extra on one of the others.

Thanks for the insight too!

I'm really enjoying my IPV3 LI. Still haven't taken it past 120W but it powers the TFV4 quite nicely, and it's nice to have the headroom to go up in wattage when I want to. I can't speak to the TC functionality as I've only used it in power mode so far, I use my eVic VT for my TC tank.

I picked up my IPV3 LI at NW Vape for under $70.

I ended up getting the X Cube II today. For the price I wasn't going to pass it up. I do wish I had the extra in the budget to pull the trigger on the IPV3.

I did also order some Sony VCT5 batteries for it. Those are the correct batteries right? That seemed to be what I was reading about. I am used to the batteries already coming in the mod.

Now I am going to sell off my M80 Plus...

Thanks for all the info guys!
