Just wondering what kind of other crazy gizmos and gadgets everyone else has?

I tinker around with alot of stuff and am a "jack of all trades, but master of none" sorta guy so i like to play around with alot of electronics and mechanical things. Ive been wondering if people in the "rebuildable" scene also have any similar background.

Currently i have been tinkering around with an sdr(software defined radio) and seeing what all it can do. Now since i live in a rural area,i dont have the best recption, but i have been able to pick up some local police/fire/ham radio/etc etc...
Just a brief example of one of the many things you can do with a SDR

Other projects include a modded original xbox with emulators for nes, snes, and n64. Homemade radio antenna. Learning to code, learning multiple languages.

I have a bunch of hobbies that include gadgets, but mostly it's vapes and flashlights.
Also love aquariums, have a 120 gallon mixed.

Yeah salt water is fun and all, but a ton of work. Literally like taking care of a newborn baby.
I'll do reed again when I'm filthy rich and have tons of time.

Indeed tons of work can take 30-60 days just to get the water and coral initially up and then the fish. I miss my clown fish but I do not miss the hassle.

Well salt water fish takes that much time. Reef tanks can take up to 6 months just to setup water, just the water! then you have to slowly build the live rocks and add the hard corals soft corals zoos and other hard to keep reef creatures. It was a very slow process, but I was glad because there was no crashes and deaths, since I carefully built up the right bacteria colonies, most people jump in too fast and have a beautiful tank, for only a month haha, then crashes.

Of course!

For me, 100 gallons is a smaller tank. My filter alone for that tank is 40 gallons. Larger than most people's aquariums.

Lot of work, not for wusses.
