I heard from a friend there will be a way to utilize these metals in building coils in the near future. Is this a myth or are companies working on a way to use wires with little to no resistance as the materials for building coils?

Not sure about the oxidation properties and melting points of those metals, safety wise. I can't see metals which form what are essentially non-resistance wires having much use in standard coils... ...not through standard power delivery methods, anyway.

Given their temperature coefficients of resistance, they may work with TC if it's balanced to them. I mean, nickel is generally considered to be a NR-wire.

I was actually wondering the same thing, i removed this part from an electrical system and it had two spools of thin copper on it for conductivity. Im wondering if i can make some coils with it, but i heard it may release toxic chemicals when heated to high temps, does anyone know info on copper?
