Step 1, stop attempting to fire. Maybe something is not making a connection or there could be a more serious problem. Need some more info on this. What mod? What atty? What kind of build do you have in atty? Have you checked the resistance of your build on an ohm reader?

I have a copper cartel limited edition mod with a tobh v2 with a build of 1.00 ohms

id that the same ulltrafire battery from before? it sounded like you shorted it.
if its one of those other yet undetermined batteries, you may have an issue with the mod causing the batteries to short.
you could be tearing the wrap inadvertanly, or the contact on the mod causing an issue.

If I looked up the correct mod then it has a 510 pin and not a hybrid connector, is this correct? Not knowing your experience level, going to make this as basic as possible. If you already thought and tried all of this, then consider me stumped.

1. Check the atty on an ohm meter or regulated mod and make sure the resistance reading is steady. If it is not steady, check your build and if it is move on.
2. Remove the top cap and screw the atty on. Adjust the 510 connection screw on the top cap until it contacts the atty. If it screws all the way in without any resistance it may not be contacting the atty pin. In this case check and see if the atty pin is adjustable. If it is, it will unscrew fairly easily and I would start with a half a turn and repeat until you can tell the two are making contact.
3. If your sure the atty and 510 pin in the top cap are making contact reassemble the mod.
4. When the mod is reassembled is there battery rattle? If yes then disassemble again. Adjust the other screw on the top cap out a turn and then reassemble. Repeat until the rattle is gone.
5. If it still won't fire remove the button. Check that when you press the button the contact comes out far enough to contact the battery. If it does not, adjust and try again.
6. If all of that checked out and it is still not working, then I have no idea.

Good luck and hope you figure it out. Always a bummer when the gear isn't working.

Tell me about the 1.00 ohm build. What type/guage of wire and how many wraps? At 1.00 ohm your only going to get 17 watts from the battery, so heat up time can be an issue if the coils are too big. @f1r3b1rd thanks for mentioning batteries, I'm a dumb ass for not mentioning or asking about that aspect.

Using a volt ohm meter do you have continuity through the mod to the posts of the atty. If no where does the continuity STOP. My guess is the 510 pin of the atty is not making contact. Or there is a switch issue.
