Good brands for me to get as spares?

Hi everyone, hope your doing OK.

A quick question regarding batteries- I bought a samsung 25R to go with my mod, but its annoying when I put this on charge I can't use it, so I need another battery.

I don't know anything about batteries, and only went for the samsung as I gathered it would mean quality/safety.

Are there any batteries you know of that are cheaper than these, that actually work properly lol, that I could get and use in rotation? Or am I best sticking with the samsung?

I see Efest offer a 3800MAH battery, that seemed interesting, but I don't know what they are like.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You have to have at least a 10 amp battery and then there's the potential of pushing it to its limits which you shouldn't want to do.

Sammies are so cheap at the moment I'd just stock up on those. I recall paying more than double that price for my Sony VTC5s about a year ago (when they were genuine).

The 35a is pulse, not continuous, so be careful. They are safe to about 20a steady current.

That claim is verified false - the Samsungs and LGs are going to be your best bet for low-cost reliability.

The 3100's are indeed 6 amps....LG HE2 or Samsung 25R's for 20 amp batteries are your best deal/performance for the money.

The LG are slightly cheaper and to be honest they would work just fine if you wanted to spend a little less...I just prefer the Samsung 25R personally.

As an interesting (probably boring, actually) aside - when I got my Sig 100 about 7 months ago I bought 2 pairs of batteries to marry and use exclusively in that mod - one pair of the Efest "35A" (before I stopped buying/recommending them) and one pair of the Samsung 25Rs. I've been noticing in the last week that although for a long time I was able to vape down to a stated 12-15% charge (usually 3.1 or 3.2 volts remaining when I put them on my Efest LUC charger), they're losing their punch. I'm now getting a "check battery" warning and having them refuse to fire at 50-60 watts with around 20-25% left in the Sammies (charge remaining indicates around 3.3v when I pull them), but the Efests are now crapping out with in excess of 30% remaining (reading 3.4-3.5v when they "die").

Given I go through roughly one set of batteries a day, each set of cells has about 100 charge cycles on them - both are seeming like they'll survive far fewer than the 300 or so I'd hoped for, but it appears the Sammies are going to outlast the Efests by a significant margin, even though the Efests cost more. I'm also noticing that they're only wanting to charge to 4.1v instead of 4.2, which is odd...

Seriously efest is shit for anything outside the old 15 watt 1.2-1.5 ohm limited mods of old.

Generally around 50-60 watts. I figured lifespan would decrease as charge cycles increased, but I'd been expecting around 300 total charge cycles...with the way things are going I'm figuring I'll be closer to 150-200. Is that because I'm letting them drop into the low 3s rather than charging around 3.6-3.7 like I've always done with my mechs?

I prefer 25r's and have had no issues whatsoever. I did purchase some auth Efest's recently and they are fine at 60w or below. If I crank up my ipv4 to 70-80w's they get noticeably warm quickly. The 25r's never waiver no matter what I throw at them. I keep the Efest's for backups only after my experience.

My target was always 3.7v - sometimes I'd accidentally go a few puffs long and end up at 3.5-3.6v, but most of the time was charging at 3.7v, On my Sig 100, however, I vape until the chip doesn't want to push the batteries any any more and tells me to change them.

I cant honestly say ive been keeping track of charge cycles but i usually pop in a fresh battery when its showing about 1/4 battery life left on the regulated mods...Have yet to see any signs of performance loss.

I'm just going off a random guess, based on the fact that a pair of batteries lasts me about a day, I have 2 pairs, and I've owned this mod and been using it as a workhorse for about 200 days...

There are lots of factors to cycle life, all of the following are common things that will shorten a battery's life:
Storing a battery outside of it's temperature range, cold or hot (keeping them in a car is notoriously bad)
Higher discharge rates
Going to low voltage
Keeping a battery fully charged or fully discharged for any significant period of time

As for the low voltage, for most batteries 3V is around the point where you start really hurting the battery's longevity. I assume the low 3's voltage measurement is measured while the battery is not being used? If so when it's in use it's probably close to 2.5V or so (voltage drops temporarily while the battery is being loaded), so yeah that will shorten life considerably.

Okay, that would make sense - mod is telling me it's drawing about 4.9v, so if the batteries are cutting out that would mean they're delivering about 2.5 apiece under load. The low 3s numbers are what I'm getting from my LUC charger when I pull them from the mod.

Yep! Doing that every now and then isn't too bad but I'd definitely try not to get it that low regularly if you want the batteries to last longer.

I ended up ordering from an ebay vape shop, couldn't find them elsewhere. they had 100% feedback and I read the feedback, and people have stated the batteries are, in fact, genuine. Cost me about £10.80 for a pair.

Hi sorry no good for me mate, I am in the UK, and 20 dollars a battery! That is very expensive. My samsung 25'Rs work out just under 10 dollars a battery, and they are top quality batteries.

EDIT: I apologise, that is for 2 batteries. Anyone know much about them brands( Apart from Efest).
