got sold a vandy vape BF mod

I was desperate and wanted to venture into the squonker world. I thought the reviews online were good for the Vandy Vape BF box mod (unregulated) until I read through some posts... damnit..

I had wanted to the pulse X but just didn't have enough money and my old smok xpriv finally shit the bed. So I'll just make this work for now but have a few questions I didn't see answers for.

I'm used to building coils for my smok prince rba. Really like flavor so I grabbed the wotofo profile rda to use with my new BF box mod.

Using just a mesh right now but don't think i trimmed enough cotton off. Am i supposed to squeeze the bottle every 2 or 3 hits?

Is the profile rda okay to use with this mod?

Can someone link me to good info about this mod and/or tips? I'll be doing my reading but afraid to blow a hole in my pocket now.

Can i safely use my smok prince rba on this mod? In the event I'm away from home or have an issue with the profile I can just put my tank on it in a pinch?

Thank you in advance for your help, much appriciated.

here is a clip from the man himself, TonyB -

I have used the profile mesh RDA and i think like most RDA, you just squonk after every so puffs to keep the wick saturated. You will start to taste a bit of cotton when its getting dry. I never had a burn yet but then again im using a regulated pulse (80W). You can also peek into the RDA to see if its wet.. when in doubt squeeze since the excess will get sucked back in but be mindful you should take a few more hits or else if you set it down it might leak when tilted.

I'd recommend you rig yer atty & prime it, stick in a fresh cell - and then play for awhile firing the atty w/o the cap & then squonking.

Just a minute or two, but you get an idea of the pressure the bottle will need, the juice flow/flood, and how it's vaping.. Then, you stick the cap on it and give it a whirl.

Just remember that ohms-law rules mechanicals 100% - you can pop/melt coils, the switches - or even vent the cells if they are substandards. On my DS-style, I am supposed to stay above 0.2Ω or the switch might melt - well, that's fine - I live around 0.3Ω happily.

It seems everyone recommends to stay around .3 for the sweet spot on this mech. You guys are awesome, thanks for the quick tips so far. I've watched a dozen vids already...

Needing to squeeze the bottle every 3 hits so far. Have had a few dry hits but I was a chain vapor with my last mod. I've already cut back which is good.

As long as your attie drains - squeeze to your heart's content - there is no rule about it

If you ever get stuck with an attie that doesn't drain, you do have to be alert to oversquonking

The shop in town wouldn't sell just the 80w version, without the rda. I'm happy now but will grab the x pulse soon enough.

Flavor is the best I've had so far and I'm very mechanically inclined. So it's a good fit I think. Just have to be super safe.

Should I turn the switch off every time I put it down or if I leave it for a while? Or is that just for pocket use?

Do you guys have a favorite squonker?

There are so many I love - but here are the ones I use the most: T-Mod probably my favorite, with a well-built Little Orca coming up second. And of course, the classic in the middle, the REO. This one is a Grand, but I like the P67 better. However, mine are packed away right now in preparation to move.
