Griffin 25 on a Single

Anyone tried this on a single coil? Thinking about getting this because it has a single coil option that wasn't on the 22. I know dual coils are always better in terms of flavour and clouds but I'm an economical juice vapor when I'm out. Does the single coil work alright or does the big air flow forces you to only use dual coils?

If I was in your position I would consider a dedicated single coil RTA like the serpent mini. It's easy to build, works great and is under $30. Sorry that does not answer your question but it's a good option to consider.

Yeah I'm waiting for the serpent mini actually. I'm considering the Griffin too because I might be able to trade my Tsunami 22 for a used Griffin 25.

I tried mine on single coil. It wasn't bad but all i had was a basic coil and had to keep it under 30 watts. Id say with a good clapton it'd do pretty good.

Good to know. With those Velo style posts I think a good 6 wrap fused claptons would be quite good as well. How is your airflow setting with running a single coil?

Airflow on the griffin is great-too airflow adds to the standard bottom. It's not gimmicky at all.

Mine does ok in single coil but I am just running a basic 1.2 ohm coil, havent tried duals yet. I am looking at getting a merlin rta it is a single coil tank and looks easy to build on.

I enjoy both the Griffin 25 and Serpent Mini for single coils tanks. I'm like you and want to save on juice and supplies and have only used my Griffins in single coil mode with no problems what so ever.
