Hello fellow vape advocates i recently quit smoking and started vaping again (we have a rough on and off relationship) i bought a griffin 25 rta hearing and reading only great things about it. Threw in pre built alien claptons in it immedietely and vapes a charm, taste and vapor production is onpar i am very happy in that sense.
- it leaks a bitch,(ATTACHED IMAGE IS WHERE IT LEAKS FROM) i wicked it like in videos and as everyone says to cover juice control resovoirs in rba deck so that liquid cant stream up into air hole but it doesent leak from airholes so much as it leaks from the crack above the airflow adjustment, the notched part, inbetween the airflow control bottom piece and the piece above it.
I know of the vaccum and upsidedown juice flow control steps to keep it from leaking upon filling, it doesent jizz fluid out constantly but ill wake up the next morning to my ipv8 wading in a puddle of juice on my table
Please Help i love this atty and it has definitely curbed my appetite for smoking.

I have the Griffin 25 Plus, and it does weep a bit at the location you mentioned, but I've never had it leak enough to puddle on my mod. I use rayon and wick it with just a little bit of it touching the juice channels. My suggestion is if you're setting it aside for the night is to turn the juice flow off and close the air off as well, both top and bottom if you're using the top air flow cap.

Ill def close em off before i sleep. I mean its weird like for the past 2 hours now its been relatively leak free but somtimes within a matter of minutes ill find that ring of liquid all around the base of the atty, i guess just im just ocd and disappointed i wish it did not leak a drip and id be more than happy with it Lol

I have yet to find an RTA that has the juice flow control done by turning the whole upper part of the tank that doesn't weep a bit at the bottom. I have found that you can minimize it if you always turn the tank in one direction when you open and close the juice flow. i usually turn in a clockwise direction just to make sure nothing gets loosened up in the process.

Definitely learned that recently as im totally new to rtas i always turn it clockwise. So its not really like a defect or possibly o-ring or anything of that nature or my wicking method? Even like a smok tfv8 or any of those on the market wouldnt be better? i would literally buy another tank for the microscopic amount of ejuice i waste because it kills my ocd PS- refilled from last post hasnt really leaked since then lol thanks for the reply and help man

I can't really say much about the TFV-8 or any other RTA's as I don't own any, all of mine are Griffin 22's and the 25.
FWIW, I have found that it seems to seal up better if you clean it well really hot water before you build on it. The Griffin does have an o-ring/seal at the base but it's not serviceable since the pieces are press fit together.

Griffin 25 is the best all around tank on the market. It will weep some here and there. I did get 1 with a bad o-rings up top once, lost 2 tanks of juice before I caught it and that sucked.20161209_212927.jpg

I'm not going to order it, all they changed was how you wick it because people couldn't figure it out, never had a problem with wicking. Aromamizer supreme is another good tank, mine don't weep like the Griffins but the build deck is smaller and the draw isn't as nice as the griffins

Yep, all they did was go from a Velocity style airflow to a Kennedy style. Now if they could make it with top controlled juice flow, it would be damn near perfect, no more weeping at the bottom.

It's already perfect in my eyes, I'm sure they could make it a little tighter but I'm guessing it would impede the wicking, I can chain vape a griffin at high watts like no other tank out there. I'm not a OCD vaper, the occasional weeping doesn't bother me. Ordered the Doode rda yesterday, hoping I dig that as much as the griffins

It doesn't really bother me either, but a redesign could take care of that for those that are bothered by it.

Literally perfect in my opinion too it has everything i want in terms of performance. i dont believe my issue with it is user error but maybe vaping has not evolutionized thus far i mean my aspire cleito didnt leak a drip but that fucking thing performed i would say not even 1% of what this tank does

Thanks so sorry. So no need to remove 510 and dissasemble, just tap it? should do trick? i noticed my airflow ring moves up and down just barely but it shouldnt do that, no need to dissasemble?

NOOOOOOOO....dont mess with the 510..
You can do 2 things

Tap the deck from top (VELOCITY DECK) or
Flip the deck then tap it on a hard plastic or wood till the airflow ring stop doing the UP n down

Anytime brother....

def suppressed leakge. Just wondering i heard you can leave liquid in tank and unscrew to rebuild/rewick, when i did so left upside standing by driptip it leaked out all juice i had in it i was pretty livid, why did that happen?

Well... you unscrew the deck chamber! The middle thing that says GRIFFIN!!
Leave that inside the tank, make sure, you only unscrew the deck,, just the deck!

Only the velocity deck came out right?
Hmmmm weird

Yes only the deck black chamber/chimney w engravings on it stayed inside of glass i set upside with about 3 mls of ejuice all to be leaked onto my table idk why lol

Does your Griffin have top air flow/ If it has top air flow you have to close it to invert the tank without leakage.

What you do before you take the deck out,, flip the tank upside down, let the juice in the deck to drip out when the dripping stops , close JFC, then take the deck out

Show photo of ur deck and what's ur VG/pg jooze ratio?

Looks exactly as above, should i not take deck ring off and put cotton inbetween ring? in the juice flow? i just put a decent strand inside the hole and the rest ontop next to the coil
