The cover to Guardians of the Galaxy #27 cryptically teases us with “The End?”. The series is ending so it can be reborn in Secret Wars as Guardians of Knowhere. “The End?” is the perfect way to summarize where this series leaves off – in a big, unsatisfying question mark.The story so far of Peter Quill being elected as Spartax’s president has been intriguing. What can he and the rest of the Guardians do with this new power to better guard the galaxy? Will he accept? Should he? But all of that is put on the backburner as we get an unnecessary action issue. So much of what happens in Guardians #27 seems to come out of nowhere simply in service of creating “The End” for this book.
