My gums bled/were puffy looking when I started vaping but they normalized pretty quickly. All the "research" I did into it seemed to suggest it is from the chemical balance in your mouth that has been affected by smoking returning to normal. I forget the actual terminology (vasoconstriction?) but basically smoking restricted the blood flow to the gums and after stopping it all comes rushing back to them which can lead to some very minor bleeding and puffiness. But I'm just a guy on the interwebs if it's bothersome get it checked out, better safe than sorry.
