Hey there cloud chasers. I will be brief. I travel for work and do not currently have time to go to a store to buy/ try what I'm looking for. I manage tours and literally will not be home for the next 4-6 months. I don't know how to "build" a good setup and am willing to compensate someone to help me with it. I have seen some good things about "Hex" on IG, and a few others. But what I'm looking for is pretty simple for someone that uses these regularly. I would like something that produces thick smoke (as in an ex Newport smoker) that I can re charge easily (or change batteries, etc..), that is easy enough to clean and doesn't need new parts too often. I get it if it needs wicks, etc, but I just don't want something that needs more attention than say my hair). If it needs coils, or anything else, that's fine. But I may need you to teach me (FaceTime or something) on occasion. I just would like you to be my go to person as you will be the person with experience. I will pay for the supplies, and we will discuss what you would like in return for you expertise and time. I'm thinking i will get you some of your own gear, or you can think of what you'd like and we can discuss. Basically I'm looking to go from a novice to a pro without having to spend a ton of time in a store or online. And as my teacher, you will have to be vetted in some ways. Wether it's by other people, or me being able to see your vape related post history, or say you work at a shop...id like some type of proof of your expertise that I'm essentially paying for. Not just a salesman that's going to push one line of products on me. I want the real deal. If I had time to do all the legwork I totally would, I just dont which is where you come in. So if you can help me find what I'm looking for, set me up and be my occasional go-to call on homie when I've got questions. Go ahead a drop me a line, include what qualifies you, some links to vape forums you have posted in showing your knowledge (if you've done that) and anything else u think I should know and let's start building this cloud maker. Sounds like you need a Kanger or Smok all-in-one tank/mod starter kit - solid cloud and easy plug-and-play device, just buy disposable coils if you're not interested in learning the hobbyist aspect of vaping. You really don't need to pay for advice, post here and you'll get plenty of responses to whatever questions you may have (or you can answer them yourself in most cases with about 5 minutes' worth of searching). Lots of devices out there that will fi your needs these days, just figure a budget and suggestions will probably start flowing in, free of charge.

Yeah, I'd stick with a regulated mod, just because there's less hassle and worry if you're not wanting to delve into it. Lots of GREAT options out there, just need to decide what type of draw, how much power. Juice... lots of good stuff to choose from, too.

I do suggest getting a simple thing for you to use. If you haven't vaped long or at all it would totally depend on your preferences to what you would want. Also to quit the habit. You really don't need to pay for this advice - everything you need to know is here, and it's easily accessible. There are many simple devices that use replaceable coils that should work well for you. There's barely a learning curve if you get something that uses regular power mode, a good reliable tank, and replaceable coils. Finding the right juice is often the most challenging thing when you start vaping!
Wow so many replies, this is amazing! Thanks so much! So I wouldn't mind getting into the hobby aspect. It sounds like I need a "starter kit"? I can totally find juice, but the kit and coils, etc I don't know what or where to get. I just really know I'd like to get something that pulls a really thick smoke. So my question is where do I start now? With the tank or a mod(btw what's a mod? Lol) I do know I saw someone I know with a Hex brand boxy vape, anyone know of them? So as far as "draw" I want like dragon smoke lol. So I'm not sure what power to get it which piece would supply the power. I hope that doesn't sound too dumb...I've only seen these box looking vapes and I don't know if these things are customs or where I can buy them.. I need to ask the next time I see someone with one.

I got the next larger one but its long and starts tasting burnt too quick and not enough smoke comes out. Which is why I am trying to see what to get in order to get that thick smoke. Depends on your style of vaping you prefer (mouth to lung or direct inhale) and your budget. I would suggest an all in one kit like the Innokin Endura T-18 kit for mtl, or the Joyetech Evic VTC Mini for subohm/direct lung inhale. (with the Cubis or Tron tank). The Evic needs 18650 batteries, so you need a separate charger (eventually) and quality batteries like LG or Samsung. Vapenw.com has both for less than $50.00, the Innokin for less than $30.00.

I think for this setup you're really going to be better off visiting a vape shop. You could go with something like a wisnec RX 200 (that holds 3 18650s) and a Crown subtank with 0.25 ohm coils, but some people find that that tank is too airy for them, although it's awesome for flavor and vapor. Or you might be better off with the the setups people have suggested earlier in this thread. It's such a personal choice, and most people have to try a few things to get their favorite setup (which is why most of us have so many different setups!).
The tank on the ego one mega is awful by the way - I would avoid that at all costs (although some may disagree). It leaks and the airflow is so tiny it's hard to get good flavor, let alone vapor.

Ok so the 18650 batteries have "mod" or "high drain" next to them in the choices. What's the difference?
Also, the tanks I see available are "Atlantis v2" or "aspire Triton" on the site I'm looking at. Should I get the tank from a different vendor than theEvic? Thanks again
The problem is that I travel so much getting to a vape shop to do this is difficult. I'm in Minneapolis working the next 10 days with little down time. Hence me coming here to try to find a good starter.
Start with a proven box mod like the Evic VTC MIni (and good batteries and a good charger). Then, yes, the Atlantis 2 is popular with many (get spare coils too)! I would buy the evic separately from the tank, because the kit comes with the awful ego one mega tank! You should be able to get them all from the same site.
Amanda is right, the Ego One Mega tank (coils especially) leave a lot to be desired. Only reason I suggested the Tron tank is that it comes in a kit with the Evic VTC for a great package price. If you can buy a tank separately, then by all means get the Atlantis II tank. Much better all around performance and coils that are cheap and readily available. Batteries are something that you need to read up on. Learn about how to safely charge, transport, and handle. I suggest youtube videos for more info.
Quick battery primer (read my "sick clouds bro" thread pinned at the top of the Help I Have Questions subforum for a much better treatment of many of your concerns):
There are only three companies that make batteries suitable for vape use: Sony, Samsung, and LG. You're going to want a 20 amp "high drain" cell for your purposes, probably a Samsung 25R or LG (there are a few models, but look for the 20 amp rating).
I would look for a vendor that sells both the Evic (if that's the mod you want) and the tank you want - I like the Crown, and for "dragon clouds" it's going to be a great tank. I run the airflow wide open on mine, though you may want to close it off a bit until you get used to it. Another "huge cloud" tank that's been out for a while and has generally strong reviews is the Smok TFV4 - if you go with either of those you likely won't be disappointed. The Aspire tanks are good too, and have their fans, but if the cloud is what you're chasing the Crown or TFV4 will probably top the Atlantis or Triton.
The eVic VTC mini is a box "mod". (we call all devices mods, LOL) You don't sound dumb, you're doing a smart thing by asking questions.
I like a bit more restricted draw, so I generally don't get tanks that have a LOT of airflow, though, they are adjustable. I draw like I smoked, inhale to mouth, then into lungs. Wide open airflow is way less restricted, most use those kind of tanks inhaled direct to lung, kind of like you you hit another thing some smoke (but we don't talk about here, LOL). That's the only way I know to describe that inhale.
It's really a matter of preference with the kind of draw you like, as far as tanks go. You can get lots of vapor with a high VG eliquid than you would with a high PG eliquid. Most shops or sites have both available in different ratios.
Hexohms are good boxes, but they're pretty steeply priced. I would go with a sigelei fuchai 200w and a smok tfv4 tank. An awesome, reliable setup for less than a benjamin
All fine devices, but if the op is asking battery questions, I don't think a dual 18650 mod would be appropriate yet. Start with a device with a built in power supply or at most a single 18650 unit. Vape safe.
Any regulated mod paired with good batteries and a good tank will be as safe as a person can get. If you want big clouds not many mtl's will do that. My personal preference is a uwell crown. With a smok xcube 2. You can get a pack of each type of coils and try out to see if you like em. Right now I am using the ni200 coils and vaping under temperature control set at 410 degrees. That is my preference won't be what you want but good way to learn. Uwell Crown is very versatile and easy to use and clean. Find the right tank for you. Then the mod will come along after....
There is nothing more or less safe about a dual battery mod over a single battery mod. If it's regulated it's gonna have all the same built-in protection. Vaping on a Sigelei box is absolutely safe, especially since new, fresh batteries are going into it. I stand by my recommendation. I'm a touring musician myself and i know for a fact that she's gonna need the battery life of a dual 18650 box. Sigelei boxes are incredibly safe and the TFV4 is an awesome tank. It's a great setup for someone on the road

Also...does 3ml of juice last long? My Vaporfi tank holds just around 3 and seems to run out kind of quick and I just have the "pro" battery (it's the next step up from the ecig I believe). Just a random question... Thanks again all!
The Crown is my favorite hands down, but many people like the Atlantis. I use the 0.25 ohm coils at around 60 watts, but be warned you'll go through juice very quickly. Also, the Crown is really best for direct lung hits, and some people find it too airy.

For wide open airflow, most like a higher VG ratio. I have a couple and use them on occasion, but I'm more sensitive to high VG. It makes my chest feel like I have a terrible cold. Most of my tanks have a bit more restricted airflow, which works out well for me, since I use higher PG. I'm more of a bit higher ohms in the coils and lower watts. It really depends on what you like. Some people do well with high VG even in a restricted draw tank. PG is a bit more harsh on the throat, IMO, but I like throat hit. VG is a bit smoother, bigger clouds.
If you want clouds, you are going to plow through juice.
I'd get the crown tank, some coil for the tank in .5 ohms or lower (like a .2 coil), 4 LG HE4 batteries, a Nitecore D4 charger, and an an IPV3 Li or an X-cube II for a mod.
Add juice and you have a fog machine.
ALWAY carry spare coils and a spare glass for your crown.

I've found a site for the crown, just trying to find the mod now and hoping to purchase all from one place. Also, as far as the mod goes, do I need more than 60w or should I go as far as 100w? How much difference does this make? I'm hoping that I can find something that allows me to change the battery when I don't have time to charge it.
So much to learn/do just to geT something that I'll love& that will last. I bought a pack of smokes because I still haven't got one yet and am hating myself for it and can't seem to find my charger for the Vaporfi I've got now...ugggh lol
Get some of both coils. Try them and see which you prefer. When using them, there is a range for wattage to use them in. Usually it is shown on the coil or box the coils are in.
You should really just get a mod that uses two 18650 batteries. Mods that are under 75 watts are usually one battery or internal battery mods. With the power you will be using, battery life will suck. Any good mod that is 100-200 watts will do you fine. Most tank users never see more than 80 watts anyway. It's when and IF you get into RDA's and making coils, that you may use 100+ watts. Not everyone does though.
As far as which mod you should buy? It's all a preference. I listed two box mods that have had a large following, but right now the RX200 has a pretty big following. BUT, the RX200 is a three battery mod, not just two. It will be heavier and have an odd amount of batteries in it.
I mainly use it on an RX200 (triple 19650s), but I also use it on a 100 watt Istick (dual battery) and an Asolo (dual battery). I do prefer the 0.25 coils to any other, but the 0.5 are also ok. I don't care for the others! I use the 0.25 at around 60 watts and the 0.5 around 50-55 watts.
Correction. She means 18650's. In vaping we most commonly 18650's, sometimes 26650's. This refers to the size of the cell. Not a name brand or anything else. (Like AA, AAA, C, D cell batteries)
