Halo Infinite Release Date Officially Confirmed Alongside New Trailer

Halo Infinite has a final release date, confirmed after leaks earlier today: December 8.


Announced during the Gamescom Xbox Stream 2021, we saw a brand new story trailer for Halo Infinite's first free-to-play multiplayer season, featuring a new character, Commander Laurette Agryna, and her history with the Spartans.


Commander Agryna is responsible for training new Spartan recruits at the Academy in Halo Infinite, which serves as the hub for the game's multiplayer campaign and integrates it into the main story.


During the Halo Infinite segment, we also got a look at a new Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 themed especially for Halo Infinite, as well as a limited-edition Xbox Series X console design for Halo's 20th anniversary, which will be available beginning November 15.


After a troubled first showing and a delay out of the Xbox Series X/S launch window, sentiments have gradually been turning around on Infinite, with a recent technical preview impressing many.

We know that Infinite is designed to evolve over time, and it won't launch with campaign co-op or a Forge mode – but datamining suggests there could be a Battle Royale mode.
