Anyone vaping with an aspire Triton 2. Interested in coil preference and wattage sweet spot associated with your coil of choice. I have also heard that piercing the cotton through the wicking holes with a needle will improve flavor and aid in saturation of the cotton. Is there any validity to that? I am new to vaping but have become a huge fan and enjoy it so much more than ciggs which by the way i have given up since i discovered vaping. I have learned quite a bit lately through this awesome forum so if any of you members have some pointers I would surely appreciate it and any comments. Thanks

Welcome, and congrats.
Man, you have a variety of choices for coils with the Aspires. I'm using the .5 Clapton right now @31w, and it is very good flavor and vapor.
I haven't found a need to needle fluff the cotton, as these are designed to allow good flow for higher vg juice to avoid dry hits. Doing so may allow faster juice weeping down into the airflow chamber that will occur eventually.

Thanks for your response. I too have had good results with the .5 clapton but being new to vaping curiosity and quest for for knowledge is huge. Right now I am vaping with a .4 with about 3 days use and started at 25 watts and have gradually over time increased the wattage and my last vape a couple of minutes ago was at 50 watts with good flavor and vapor with no burned taste at all. I think to go any higher would start to degraded the flavor. Actually for me about 45 watts with the .4 ohm is sweet. Thanks again and I intend to try all the options for that tank as well as the RTA kit.

The experimentation is fun. Really like the Vaporesso .9 ceramic coils, when you get a good one. I have the Eleaf EC .5 ceramic on deck, after this .5 clapton.

The needle pierce gained some popularity on the Uwell Crown. Never thought of it for Triton Clapton, but I may now. Loved that coil, but not its short life.

I did find the needle helped on Crown.
