Hey Everyone I purchased the Hcigar VT75.. For now I will Be using a LG HG2 But am in the market for a 26650. I am worried about the purchase of one cause from what i read they are mostly old tech. I was looking at the VAPPOWER batteries.. Wanted to know your thoughts on them and how they would perform and if you have any better recommendations.. I don't don't usually vape any lower then a 0.2 and am mostly around a 0.4.. I would love the 5200mAH But something tells me they don't really do 20A.. So mainly looking at the 4200mAh one.. So what are you thoughts.. You think it is ok to get the 5200mAh one or should I go with the 4200mAh one.. Or should I be looking at different batteries.. I am worried about all this talk about 26650's giving weak battery when half way empty..

I just purchased spare batteries for my Hcigar VT75.
I didn't know the batteries were an issue.
But you said you were in the market for the 26650 batteries.
Here is where I got mine.

A couple things:

In a regulated mod the coils resistance doesn't have anything to do with battery current draw. The battery feeds the chip the amount of power you dial up, then the chip steps up or down the voltage and does the inverse to the current to supply the coils. To figure out your current draw from the battery take the wattage you dial up and divide it by the batteries voltage and add around 10% for chip inefficiency.

I hate to do this but when it comes to battery testing, Mooch is the best source I know of. Here's a link to his thread on 26650's.

Cheers,
Steve

Edit I wanted to add as your battery becomes discharged, the voltage drops so the current draw will increase. Most people won't discharge their cells much under 3v, so divide by that to get worst case scenario (or whatever voltage you discharge your cells too, figuring in voltage sag).

I'm using the Black and Red Brillipower 3500mah 60 amp (if it can be believed) that came with the Centurion. I didn't see it in Mooch's thread, so I can't confirm or deny any of the specs. What I can say is that it seems to work well in my usage, but then I don't push my batteries much outside of testing for reviews.

He had this to say about the 80 amp green Brillpower. I find 60 amps very, very hard to believe. Probably closer to 25 amp CDR (just my opinion).

:"Brillipower Green 80A 4500mAh
While it has a preposterous 80A rating it is a good 25A continuous (estimated) cell that is in the top five for the 26650's I tested. Its length of 66.3mm means it should fit in the VF Stout without problems."

The greens seem like good 26650's so I would think yours probably are too. It's just hard to say with all 26650's basically being re-wraps

Cheers,
Steve.

Here's a chart (from Mooch's post) that might help when looking for a good 26650

thank you all for all the good info.. I have gone over all the charts and looked up all the batteries and i gotta say all of them have mixed reviews.. seems like 26650's are just not there yet.. i think i will give two a try. going to order the original ones in my first post and the green ones as well. seems like both of those have the most positive reviews and not so mixed. thanks again for all your recommendations.
