Heat sink for Wismec mods

Hello all,

Can I use some sort of a heat sink adapter in order to protect the 510 on RX200 or Predator.

Are there any spring loaded adapters? What about voltage drop?

Sure you can use a heat sink thingy.
Voltage drop? yes there will be some. Should be negligible. You should also have more voltage drop on a spring loaded 510 pin heat sink than on a fixed 510 pin one.

2 Wismec mods with 2 different problems.
Rx200 the 510 made poor connection because it had very little travel. So temperature control doesn't work. Also with a faulty 510 connection you will get a no atty fault.
A heat sink will work if it makes a good contact with rx200 510. Otherwise you'll have the same problem.

Predator's 510 was coming apart because of faulty design/manufacturing. A heat sink will work as long as you don't put pressure on the Predator's 510. So putting on a tank, hold the heat sink while screwing on the tank. Same with removing the tank. The goal is to put as little pressure on the mod as possible.

There are reports that you can glue down the predator's 510 to prevent it from breaking away from the mod. I don't own one, so I can't attest to this.
