I have just bought the following setup

1 x AUTHENTIC Bandit Stainless Steel Mod by ISM Vapes

1 x CHARGER-XTAR-VC2PLUS XTAR VC2 Plus Master Charger

1 x SUBTANK-PLUS-KIT Kanger SubTank PLUS Kit

5 x SUBTANK-COIL-0.5 Kanger SubTank Atomizer Coil - 0.5 ohms

Before this I had a vision spinner with a pro tank... Lol. I'm hoping that someone, anyone, could advise me as to wether or not this is a safe setup. Like I've heard that this stuff can be dangerous and I have NO idea how to check wether or not this set up is dangerous or safe. I use all of this together as one kit. Thanks.

With that device being a mech. mod and running sub ohm without the details on the batteries it can be dangerous.

Hey Tony, welcome to VU. Wondering who sold this to you? If you look around, you can find a regulated device for under $35.00 that would work great with your subohm tanks. Might consider an RDA/RBA for your mech mod.

The website vapor kings sold me this they had a half off deal on a lot of their more expensive mods and nicer atomizers which placed them in my price range so I found one and ordered it. It hits clean and don't get hot so I fired it was ok but I thought I'd come here and ask more experienced users.

I think that the reason a response is slow is the link you provided goes to an Aspire 1800 mah battery. Your original post said you bought a 1600 mah battery. Without knowing exactly which battery you have, makes us hesitant to answer.

I was sure some guy at the local B/M pushed this mech on a new vaper, and sold him subtanks to top them with. Never a good idea to use that set up. Use your subtanks (premade coils) on regulated devices, and use a rda/rta on your mechs. vape safe.

Strange. Hadn't noticed that. Wonder why the receipt says a different battery then the website. I know I placed the order for the link I attached. But I copy and pasted my setup directly from the receipt they emailed me. Strange indeed.

Below in black it says
"IMR 18650 3 7V 1600 mAh (5.9WH)"

It's on a pure red battery. The device takes one of these.

Ugh it seems that my memory goofed. This is the actual battery.

I remember switching to this battery because the aspire. 1800 had only one review at a lower rating, while this red 1600 battery had 16 reviews at full stars. So I thought it would be the smarter bet. Sorry for any confusion.

The description says they can deliver 24 amps. Your drawing max 8.4 amps. They are fine.

Ohms Law: I=E/R, I = 4.2/.5, I= 8.4
