Help a newbie out?

I'm using a reuloux200s with a tfv8.

Using the rta. With a 28g nichrome. 6/5 wrap at .89 ohm ... I keep getting burnt coil taste. I've tried 20g 24g and now 28g.
Started at 40watt... Wth am I doing wrong?

Hard to tell from your description, but probably some wicking issues.

That must take a while to heat up? Sounds like a wicking issue though. Ive not used a tfv8 but on the tfv4 the RBA was a nightmare. Such small holes for juice to come through

I just put my RBA deck in by TFV8 yesterday. used the coils that came with it on, just had to wick them. at 100 watts in TC mode I'm getting great flavor, no burned or dry hits and ran through 3 tanks of juice already working great
